Does anyone know if I can watch on my phone?

On paper Port vale have a very strong squad and are unbeaten in six games. In contention for promotion at the moment. However, some teams start to fade away after the Xmas fixtures. I would like to know from a devoted port vale fan the following question, "is your glass 🍸 half full or empty at this moment in time".

Half full and ready for the next round.🍷

I feel the strength of the squad depth is going to be the difference between Vale and the other contenders.

Looks like Byers will be out for more than a few weeks

I thought we were talking league games?

I was talking goals outside of the championship

Going to be a huge miss along with John but we have more than enough to get through this sticky patch. Can see a few tweaks here & there with the formation.

Gutted for him and us.

Massive blow losing Byers & John

We have plenty of depth now so hopefully they can step up and keep this momentum going.

Fractured?

<ovf censored>! Not good.

Sounds a bit more daunting than I was optimistically hoping for after hearing a "few weeks" in DMs press conference earlier.

Hopefully just a small stress fracture, he did walk off the pitch to be subbed.

The Greece midfielders shown what turns defence into attack tonight.

Love to see central midfielders running the show. That's what gives a team the edge.

I would look at Connor Grant now as we need some experience and quality there, especially away from home to cover John and naturally left sided.

Typically 6-8 weeks to heal then there’s time needed for him to get match fit, again! Hopefully it is weeks but more likely at least a couple of months.  Would be great to have him back fully fit and functional for Christmas (maybe making some cameo appearances before then).

Tomorrow will be a good test again of our squad depth and Big Dave’s tactical acumen. Hopefully we won’t need to weather a 20 minute storm like at County (when they could have been home and hosed while we were trying to implement the tactics) and, with all but a dozen seats of our allocation sold (as of last night), would be great to create the same atmosphere as last week and celebrate both another good result and DM’s MoM award.

I’m a Curtis fan but not at LWB….asking for trouble. It’s a big problem to solve for DM.

I do agree, but who else do we play out there? Shorrock again?

John is a right-footed right back playing at LB isn't he?

I'd go with:

Jesse RB Heneghan Hall Cover LB and if it's a shower, stick Sang on at RB and play a back 5.

No good options though. Jesse would just be given a brief of keeping the shape and being defensive, rather than link up like Cover.

My bet is Shorrock starts, MK watch the tape from Notts and put 50 crosses into the box.
