Well you laugh but a) Moore’s had the kiss of death with MOTM b) no Byers, possibly no John c) new manager bounce d) we’ve been awful every time we’ve been on the idiot box and e) the dreaded blue kit. So guess what’s coming our way tomorrow…….?

But hats off to the fans for backing the lads in numbers again, nearly 1,100 travelling to arguably the most uninteresting place in the country (unless you love your roundabouts) a week after taking double to Grotts Country is some going.

Very very harsh and off the mark for me.

At league two level he scraps and pinches his opponents….. What do you think defenders at every league level and international football do?

In my opinion Smudge is without doubt a good league 2 defender and his record proves it . A head and kick it CB who is prepared to run through a brick wall and put his head where it hurts for Vale.

I’m judging him on a body of work over nearly 10 seasons not because he fairly local.

Bang on mate 👌🏻

Time will tell. Let’s hope for another decent result 💪🏻

Moore manager of the month .

No Byers or John .

Blue away kit which has not served us well ever in any season

1027 plus pay on the day attending .

No doubt be encouraging as they be expecting a fine performance, and rightly  so it's costing people loads get there ,37 quid train plus whatever admission price is , plus drinks and food for the  day ,not cheap is it or fuel for car etc

What could possibly go wrong .

I'm. one  of those supporters who as long as performance is spot on,I'm quite happy with that , you might not get the rewards tomorrow but because how applied themselves(yourselves)  will in future games .

Don't get caught up in the other teams tragicsad  loss of there academy player ,it's none of our business our business is Vale .

With the. Injuries we’ve got I’d be happy for us to go and stink the place out tomorrow,  although not even sure we have the players for that.

Ripley

Debrah Heneghan Hall Shorrock

Cover Garrity Croasdale

Tolaj Stockley Curtis

Think we’ve won three times in the blue kit… Oxford, Charlton and Exeter out of I make it 19 times wearing it.

The Wedgewood we won 1, drew 1 lost 1

The Electric Lime we’ve won 3 drew 1 lost 0

So essentially we’ve won as many in the lime in 15 less games! Stick to the Lime!

The blue was worn in both our away defeats this season, and starred in such horrors as

Barnsley 7 - 0

Bristol Rovers 3 - 0

Fleetwood 3- 0

Derby 3 - 0

Peterborough 3 - 0

Bolton 2 - 0 relegation confirmed

Barrow 4 - 0

He’s been this local lad we have come to love.

Take sentiment out of it and he isnt very good at league level.

At league one he looks woeful.
At league two level he scraps and pinches his opponents.

I expect more from my centre back.
He hasn’t progressed in his career and let’s face it, the lad has made a load of money at being an average footballer.

Quite blatantly wrong. There's opinions and there's being pretty objectively wrong.

Smith played 44 games in the year we went up, and was pretty good throughout the season. The idea that he isn't good at league level, after being a key player for a side promoted into the third tier, is plain wrong, sorry.

I think Smith looked great in that back three in the play-offs / final when he had Hall and Gibbo next to him when they a) had better pace and b) ability on the ball. He is a kick it / head it CB and anyone who plays him in position whereby he’s expected to start creating things or running with the ball is plain daft. I guess he’s then behind Heneghan who has similar characteristics but more height which is understandable. You only have to remember the 4-3 horror shows at Sutton & Oldham to work that one out.

Give over. 2 times player of the year suggests otherwise. A lot of our squad are average we’re Port Vale in league 2!

Player of the year when we were awful.

You have just justified my post.

”A head and kick it CB”

Thats what Moore sees. He’s not very good. He’s limited.
Is it fair to say Nathan Smith is limited?
I would say so.

Moore has identified that he’s a league two defender at very best and in ten years he hasn’t improved beyond that.

I am sorry fans can’t see it.

He will be gone in January.

“Pretty good” throughout the season we went up.

You said that.

Is that your aspiration for a Port Vale defender?
A “pretty good” league two defender?

He is done with.

I listened to the pod and the debate that he will get his chance.
He won’t.
It’s so obvious Moore doesn’t want him and I’m all for it.
He isn’t very good.
But the lad has made a good career at the dark arts.

If anyone can tell me and prove to me that Nathan Smith had improved in the last 6 years, I am all ears.

In my opinion he needs to move on and I don’t see a load of football league clubs after him.

Be a really tough game tomorrow. They'll probably have an extra spring in their step to try and get a win for George Baldock (RIP) too. Would happily take a hard earned draw to keep the winning run going. I'd expect MK Dons to be in the top 10 come the end of the season, possibly the play-offs.

We were also relegated in 91-92 with away blue Kalamazoo kit.
