Imagine being Walsall and thinking beat Fleetwood and we go top and shipping 6 against them at home, imagine being Gillingham and thinking beat Grimsby and we stay top and lose 1 nil, there is some over reaction on here, Colchester are not as bad as some make out.

Imagine if the manager set us up too play on the offensive instead of how he currently sets us up 🙈🤨

Agreed, if it is part of the loan agreement then that's poor as he isn't up to the job right now.

Or has the gaffer just lost the plot 🤔

Your post sums up Darren Moore in a nutshell

Four more years!

If he doesn't get promotion with this squad

He's got to be binned off end of the season

A few marks

Ripley 4 I think we all have gone over his mistake probably bored had nowt do I'd switch off in fairness to him .

Cover 5 did well till we scored then was stretched a lot and struggled ,it's a big ask ask a academy player play 3 games in week ,should have being replaced .

Henegan 5 steady enough

Hall 5 could he have reacted quicker to there goal maybe he could of I don't know whether it was him or John but they put some excellent last ditch challenges in as game wore on and Vale got more sloppy than diarrhoea.

John 6 my joint  Vale man of the match

Sang 4

Garrity 5

Byers 5

Chislett 5.9

Stockley 5.8

Hackford 3

Subs

Debrah 6 great header, some great challenges and he nearly curled another in top corner.

Curtis 5 well you see the ability he has the fact we had little control in midfield during last 30 meant that we only saw it in spurts however if VAR was there Tolajs goal is a perfectly good goal so a assist would have being the outcome.

Croasdale 5 struggled last night .

Tolaj 5  scored a lovely taken goal I'm furious with the linesman must be a stripey eyed fan.

Just seen the incident that's a goal every day of week on X .

Tolaj is in line when Curtis takes the shot that's a goal just like I thought while at game .

So a very costly decision by linesman led to Colchester getting a point overall I felt because we sat back they deserved.

Ripley bored and should switch off?

That's the problem ,,, he did!!

Sky should definitely get themselves down to Swindon vs Colchester to showcase some free-flowing football played in the spirit of the game. Go on lads, represent L2 with pride.

The atmosphere was good last night.

It has nothing to do with shape of roof etc etc

We have had seasons of abysmal home form where we have just known that even when we go a goal up, we still concede.

Finally last night we had won a couple on the trot. We're looking like we were going to lay the Tuesday night hoodoo. So we started to 'believe' again.

What do the team do? Get inspired by the vocal support?

No they 'uck it up like they have done for the last 3 seasons. This time with arch 'criminal' Ripley losing concentration again!

I know much to all Vale fans annoyance .

I didn't say he should switch off he did switch off .

Amos has to be given the shirt now we cannot be having that.

Mcgoldrick and Co next a free flowing over 60 per cent passing team next

We need to be bang up for it

We carry no passengers.

Notts County are a excellent footballing team Crowleys superb .

Ripley dropped, Garrity will play as a DM, if Byers is out- not that any of us want him in that role.

I said it yesterday, we let them drag us down to their level, albeit I thought we weren't at the races ourselves, to slow on the ball, not enough movement off it.

Surely that's their job?

Keeping the ball out of the net?

Of course it is but there are so many other contributing factors.

I’m more interested in goals conceded to date and reasonably asking could Ripley have done better. Last night that was definitely the case. As I posted several weeks ago I’m unconvinced he has the right mentality to be playing for a team with little to do during games.

If Fleetwood had stuffed us 6 last night you would be in dark room now rocking back and forwards sucking your thumb.

Rico Richards should have been fed all half our best moments when he was .

Having said that he keeps starting with Havkford who clearly isn't ready for league 2 I agree with that i said before game if they have big lumps Paton should start with chislett who runs at players .

Drawing the game is no big deal BYERS  going off injured is as even though there theatrical divers Daleyesque Henegan (leader )replaced at half time no idea why as he looked assured enough to me and Byers (leader) .

Once we scored we were generally leaderless as we gave them a foothold in the game I was astonished and very disappointed about that .

140 away fans as soon as I saw there following I knew Vale wouldn't quite be at it and with generally Tuesday night games because of work and champions league on well 4533 there so only 4393 home could be bothered watch a team who had won 3 out 4 games .

Tuesday never win strikes again

I’d agree except we always tended to perform badly when we had the big crowds and the fans turned up.

This sat is the 10th league game in. Get ready with yer Big D assessments [emoji3]
We are sort of doing ok but we should be doing better kind of feelings from everyone atm, with a fair amount of bewilderment thrown in.
Saturday is against one of the league big boys so, as always, it will be interesting to see how we are set up and starting 11.
On a side note, anyone done the figures for points lost from conceeding goals in the last 15 minutes from the last couple of years? Must be a fair old amount I'd wager.

Bolton 2020/21.

And didn’t Bolton go on to get promoted that season after us putting 6 past them(and we played around with potential relegation too)? That result and all last night’s results have no baring on who will or won’t get promoted.  What last night’s results did show is why there are no poor bookies and that Grimsby are the current form team (3 consecutive wins) oh, and were the only team not have lost any of the last 5 league games.

For a Tues night it's about average so no complaints with the support

Yes your right home has been a poor place for a very long time especially when we get punters in .

I still think we played very within ourselves last night .

We have far more about us than we showed last night .

Hopefully sat we will unleash Paton with Stockley, and I think we need be cleverer and play a extra midfielder in midfield ,when ahead as we have enough about us with BBB Curtis and Richards to give opposition plenty to worry about.

Playing Sang with Cover ok it worked v Swindon ,but it didn't last night as obviously Cowley had watched us ,and saw there was no threat whatsoever from that side till Richards come on so I have to ask the question why not go for it from the off .

A braver manager starts with Richards and once 3 ahead we can go to metholodical.
