I keep saying to myself, it’s just a game. But this disconnect, the lack of any fire or fight is really affecting me - feel I like I need to mentally right off this season now and not become embroiled in this feeling on match days 😞

Smurf - admitted his failings and took full responsibilty for relegation and accepted he was hoodwinked. 

Jim Gannon, gave a chance to Premiership Dam Morsy, dropped pisshead Gary Roberts, won a game or two and signed Tom Pope.

Carol wont admit she has been hoodwinked.

After just six games I have had enough the waffle coming from DM's mouth every pre/post match interview. 

I never bought into the non rousing speech before the game. I said the game would be over after ten minutes. It so predictable that I dont bother watching anymore. I go through the motions of reading the post mortem every Sunday though and hope something has changed. I live in hope but accept reality.

You were saying? 🤣 There is optimism, and then there is realism. I have accepted the realty that our fate was sealed back in September/October after the utter gash we produced when we stumbled to a win against Northampton. 

I really wish I could be more upbeat, but I would be hurting myself more.

I’ll accept most of that apart from Smurthwaite.

That man was a crook. A rogue. A vile piece of <ovf censored> who signed all avenues of Vales revenue to him.

He took money out of the clubs revenue and then put it back in in loans. 
He signed the ground over to him and did everything on the cheap, whilst fleecing the club.

Let’s not EVER make out as though this man admitted any failings, when he knew all along what he was doing.

He was and will forever remain a piece of scum.

They could finish on 65 points ? - They would Survive ! - and might play Crewe If They can Get Promotion ? Also Play 2 Games next Season against Stoke IF They get Relegated ? Which would be a Money Spinner ( Which we would need to repair the damage to Our Toilets - When they visit Vale Park ! ) - Plenty to Look Forward To ? - I'll keep my Fingers Crossed !   🤞  😀

The Lardies will probably be safe,  and there are no guarantees yet that Crwho will be promoted, but Vale are down for sure.

Sadly it looks like Breadwinner has deleted his account so for novelty value I'll step into his big shoes.

Ripley 4. One or two dodgy moments. Constantly berating Smith. Ludicrous foul and booking with 30 seconds left. At least he cares.

Sang 2. What is he ?. A nothing performance. Couple of wild goal attempts when needed composure.

Smith 2. A non footballing CH who simply can't pass or control the football. Atrocious again. Form fell off a cliff.

Debbie 2. Barnsley you lucky lot. There was a reason he had no club. Ungainly, clumsy and as per Smith seems incapable of basic control. Non league. 

Jones 1. An appalling performance. Simply dreadful. The lazy fancy flick in his own 6 yard box that nearly resulted in an own goal summed him up. Dreadful player. Incapable of passing to a white shirt.

Grant 2. As per Sang nothing performance. Injury clearly has caught up with him. Compared to Benning he's woeful.

Ojo 2. Often caught in possession in dangerous places. Never grabbed the game . Is he bothered ? Only he can answer that.

Garrity 6. Tried again as always. Poor miss was costly but we'd be bottom if it wasn't for him. 

Weir 2. Pretty powderpuff and relatively anonymous. Proved at Morecambe he's decent. Turned to dirt in a Vale shirt.

Massey 3. Can’t say as he didn't try but didn't achieve anything of note again. 

Wilson 5. Some nice interchanges and link play. One excellent run 2nd half. Simply had to score the 1 on 1 before half time. 

Subs

Chislett 4. Looked busy but dragged down by the rest . There's a player in there but offered little in reality. 

Mighten 4. Lively but lightweight. Looks capable of good things but at 0-2 down we're expecting miracles.

Dipepa 8. Man of the match simply for his goal and desire. Couple of breaks from deep and unsettled Shrewsbury. Fair play to the lad as he shouldn't be anywhere near the team yet. Doesn't hide. 

Finally Moore 1. Not sure what he's seen to thrust Jones and Grant as a pairing on the left side of defence. Smith not worthy of a recall either. Subs improved us but it's no use at 0-2 is it. 

Hasn't brought anything to the table. 1 point from 18 is scandalous. Already matched by Monk at Cambridge after 1 game.

All in all a sad sad day .
