Shrewsbury (H) match thread - 9th March

Featured Replies

The manager needs to take some blame as well. He's been dealt a poor hand but he's had some more favourable fixtures and we've got one point.

We look like we have less of a plan than under crossby.

It's a terrible start.

And to think we let Benning go - to instead play Dan Jones there pumping endless balls straight back to the opposition.

The players hardly make it seem like they are willing to run through a brick wall for him so far.

How do you know what she really feels and what may be being planned.

Football is full of statements of support but then the axe falls.

The level of ineptitude he has shown over the last 4 transfer windows and the best we can say is she might have it planned?

We're relegated mate

And at best we've waited for that to happen, despite numerous alarm bells and warnings before we start saying things like she MIGHT be PLANNING to wield the axe?

That <ovf censored> is going nowhere until he resigns

And he had any self respect and any decency he would've done that last season instead of sacking a guy who should still be our manager now.

Best thing she can do.  Maybe she can use the money to open a new soup kitchen for all the unemployed footballers who won’t be getting games anywhere else when they are let go at the end of this miserable season?

Probably is but not now, no doubt she will do so at some time

Feel like repeating myself week in week out but nothing ever changes.  People keep saying each game a massive 6 pointer, when are these folk going to learn that we are down and have been for weeks.  Still walking up Hamil Road after the game, I had to laugh when I heard two old gentlemen say if we can win 2 on the bounce we are back in it.  We will not win another game this season, I said after Fleetwood away, we might get a record low points tally for a season 36 and I maintain that.  Smith cost us yet again, 2 home games running now, Devine was right all along about Smith.  Chislett massively overrated but the decision to bench him and again Mighten in favour of Massey in baffling.

Shrewsbury are a very poor side but did the basics better than us, our relegation won't be on Moore but my god the football is dire so far under him, did not expect Brazil football but this has so far been very worrying.

Was anyone actually surprised?

The more I think about these last 6 games, the more I think Moore isn't the manager for us.

He doesn't fit the fanbase.

We need passion and honesty. He's too 'nice' (common theme).

Was prepared to give him a few games but we're just clueless.

Massey up front? Top scorer Garrity in holding midfield? Chislett/Mighten on the bench?

Does anyone in the club have an ounce of common sense?

Smith for their first goal is a <ovf censored> disgrace. What the hell is he taking so long for, then instead of clearing it just smashes it straight into their player.

Trying to work out how to pass it backwards

Depressing to think we've got 11 more games of this.

He must of looked at the fixtures and thought he's got a great chance of turning things around.

He sounded a lot more downbeat and disappointed in his post match interview today. He knows himself we're fuckeď now, and he will leave Vale with a 0% win ratio.

Ignore what led to the corner and just concentrate on the routine itself. It's a cliche that gets used a lot but this was genuinely playground stuff. The overload they had on the far post in contrast to the concentrated assortment of white shirts aimlessly ballwatching from the middle was an utter disgrace.

Sang is never a defender and him being recruited into that position was a horrendous decision, but when he's been left with 3 players to mark he's on a hiding to nothing. Nevertheless, he was nowhere near the ball, as usual. It wouldn't have made a difference if he wasn't on the pitch for the opener.

Ripley has to at least get a strong hand on that, too. It wasn't a snap shot with no time to see it coming.
