When the chants started against Flitcroft after the 2nd goal went in, I looked up at where they sit & Paddy was sat just down from Flitcroft shaking his head in disgust at the chants.

Again, trying to find some positivity in this morass of pain.  I decided on the New Year to base my beer consumption on the Vale's results - if we won, I'd have a couple of pints, if we drew or lost I would abstain.  

I've lost a stone and a half.

The present Mrs. Lornelounger is furious, since I can now get back into trousers she was going to throw out....

That’s correct, but surely a FT contract instead of a PT contract is some sought of reward, as the boss is impressed with your performance.

If Carol did put the club up for sale I wouldn't be surprised if she asked Flitcroft to sell it for her.
