It is not a fact that the runner was going to smash the referee. He might have been going to ask for his autograph. Or he might have been doing it for a dare or hoping that lots of others would join him to make the point about the Reading decision. It is just your opinion which may or may not be correct.

Oh right, he was running on the pitch to get an autograph.

It was obvious he was going for the ref, do not try to dress it up any other way.

See the headlines after the Reading game (which you wont) all positive for the Reading fans.

See all the headlines about the Vale fan running on the pitch yesterday (again, which you wont) and its embarrassing for the club

Maybe in your mind it was obvious but that says more about you than anything else... I think the Reading Chronicle is biased. I saw a lot of stories about Reading, that is what a news aggregator site does, there were a few headlines from around the world for a couple of days after the event but it is mostly forgotten about on the world stage in the same way that the world will quickly lose interest in the story from yesterday. The EFL were already well aware of the situation before the event but are hamstrung by the law when it comes to resolving the situation.

“Hold out lads, just get ‘em back to our place lads and we’ll beat ‘em”

Aaaarrrgghhh every time it’s two points lost before we even begin because Crosby has us in “plucky underdog away in the FA Cup” mode at home to teams about 15 spots above us in the same league. The more I think about the more it infuriates me

It actually passes on to supporters.

No reason to make this up have I. So a guy sat behind me in the hamil maybe early 30's with his young lad waxing lyrical about how they used to be a Premier league team and are a massive club.

Maybe factually true. However it's 14 years ago. Since then they've been in the bottom division for goodness sake.

I'm probably talking claptrap again but when I turn up at VP against an ex big team it feels like we have an inferiority complex .

There is far more stewards at Port Vale than at say Reading where there was a known protest taking place.

Stewards are a waste of money.

Stewards are a waste of money it’s policing on the cheap, the only one making money are the company that supply them. The problem now is some of the idiots have now moved into the Hamil, where they were contained in the RP. Reading fans had a protest, they didn’t chase the referee. I’ve been to some EPL grounds previously and the stewards are big units who take no messing about, it’s zero tolerance and will go into the crowd and haul people out.

I still think Grant comes in from the side, kicks the ball first and Kamara (as he did all game) dives over

People had way more of an issue with the tackle on Chislett moments before.

That's where the anger comes from.

At the time I thought it was a bad tackle from behind.

Having seen it again, it's ball and man that their lad gets.

However, if that one isn't a foul, the one in the box certainly isn't.

The foul on Chislett was the same player who dragged Loft to the ground and didn't get booked.

P*ss poor refereeing.

Big club small club mentality

There were police standing at the top of Smallthorne roundabout, top of Macclesfield Street,Dartmouth Street etc.

What is the point of them?

Not sure Grant kicked the ball but pretty sure he didn’t kick the player, it was a dive and I’m pretty sure if there was VAR it would have been over ruled.

They’re not being paid unless in the ground. I’ve seen southern clubs fans come across High Lane before, when for me the easiest route would be along the A500. Perhaps they see Burslem town centre as a flash point so escort them across Smallthorne.
