Cambridge looked doomed last season after sinking in to the relegation zone and then turned it around doing a greater escape than we could make, winning their last game of the season. They will think they will do it again.

With luck like they had yesterday you might be right. Watched the highlights.

Ludicrous own goal from 30 yards by Barnsley and they also managed to miss 2 virtual open goals. The gods shone on Cambridge yesterday.

You'll struggle to see a more pathetic own goal all season in the EFL.

I personally feel Vale have left themselves with too much to do. It's going to take a massive run of wins in reality

The way you have worded this sentence isn't the way a Vale fan would have worded it?

50 points is looking the likely total so we're looking at a tough ask. Clubs at the bottom now running into form. Those games against Fleetwood and Shrewsbury are going to end up costing us I think

Yh unfortunately I think this is the case aswell. Obviously desperate for this not be the case but we will see.
Seems strange that the lads have suddenly galvanised now Flitcroft has gone and I wonder if any of this terrible season was down to them downing tools? Again I seriously hope not, but I suppose we will never know.
As always, Monday is a massive game UTV

I don't know about downing tools but there's no doubt in my mind that Flitcroft had a seriously negative effect on the morale of the team and that this is shown by the significant improvement in performance since his departure. Hopefully it wasn't too late...

Having to better the results of basically Burton and Cheltenham to stay up doesn’t sound like much of an ask really. Frankly if we can’t do that, we deserve to go down.

The slight problem is that they play each other, so one team is guaranteed at least a point, we’ve got no such guarantees.
