Likely to see Emil Krafth the Swedish International (42 caps) recovering from an ACL injury. Whether we will see any Vale youngsters with shooting boots on would be more welcome.

I would get minutes into Uche hopefully but maybe this is ideal to take relatively seriously and maybe try a formation tweak or experiment to see if we can resolve the issues of scoring?

Also a win would secure a place in the KOs and make Wrexham less important.

Wouldn't secure it if Crewe beat Wrexham, then we could go out by losing at Wrexham.  True, Crewe would deserve to if they beat Wrexham and we didnt.

No doubt AC and Co will pick a starting side with no strikers in it and loads of youngsters.  Then have to put on our better players in the 2nd half when we are 2 or more down.  

As Valefan16 posted this would be ideal game to give Uche valuable playing time to start getting match fit.  God we need his skills up front.

I know its a tin pot cup game, but I am sure the money would be appreciated by the club to go out in Jan and possibly be in a position to move on players and bring in better players for positions needed.  Just a thought.

It's pretty much obvious that leitweiller will be in goal and Walters, shorrock will play. As loft is injured and Thomas on international duty you would think uche or Wilson would start the games unless he plays them 2 youngsters bailey can't remember his surname or that brazier.

I've not seen him but I've heard very good reports of a young Newcastle striker Amadou Diallo.

An even better thought . Don't postpone games and haemorrhage money for the sake of one player. It'll be  a bigger loss than prize money for this stupid competition.

Not 1 player though is it…. Postponed means more time to get Loft and Uche fit who would both be injured  / not match fit alongside the international thomas… basically 3 out of out 4 forwards coupled with our best midfielder so it was an easy decision to call it off I think.

Sick and tired of the matches been called off and the EFL should be looking into this next season.  We have one player who would get into our best 11 and now had 2 Saturday matches called off.  There should be a rule coming in when unless 3 or more have started the previous game, the matches don't get called off.  Teams are getting matches called off for one starter and it is wrong.

So you agree with Crosby’s line up at pompey then? If we have 1 player not available that would get into our starting 11 that means loft uche and thomas wouldn’t?

football now is very much a squad game… 5 players unavailable 3 of whom are forwards makes it an easy decision I think.

Just saying that the international break in league 1 and 2 now is getting abosutely ridiculous and teams are using it to call off matches when not needed.  I refer to my original post where I said that there should be a rule where teams can only call games off if 3 or more started the week before.  So many games off this weekend again in League 1 when teams probably have maybe 1 starter away on international duty and then thinking 3 or 4 injuries, lets call it off.  I agree it might help us but ruins another weekend and a cold Tuesday night in front of 4500 in November awaits.

You might say it's a stupid competition Darren but 25,000 of us didn't think that in 1993.
