How do you know he was sacked?
"Garlick, who joined the Valiants in September 2016, will leave Vale Park following a restructure of the club’s Board of Directors and leadership group."

That is management speak for forced out in my eyes. There's no mention anywhere that this is his choice or that he's retiring.

Isn’t Claire Halket  the ceo, certainly has a very similar job title.
Garlic should get a redundancy pay out.
She's CFO.

I'd imagine she's pretty busy today, as she's got about 2 hours to submit accounts to companies house and the EFL otherwise we will fall fowl of EFL regulation 16.2 (the one that got Burnley a few weeks ago)

Not 100% sure that I understand this.'Reconstructure' He has been a good loyal servant to the club through very difficult times.Without Colin his hard work and dedication we might not even have a football club.So what is happening is he really stepping aside, retiring?Which would be understandable (with all due respect).Very little information on who will replace Colin.Where are they from?what experience do they have? What do they offer that Colin dont offer (assuming he ISNT stepping down)?

As far as reconstruction by the club goes I would much rather see reconstruction of the coaching staff.Who for what ever reason can not sort out the very same mistakes made week after week by the defence costing us goal & points.

Or are we only getting part of the story here?

Maybe so. It’s a very poor statement whichever way you view it, could have been more transparent.

Colin can leave with his head held high - always engaged with the fans in an open and honest way and was a steady hand through choppy waters.

I’ll reserve judgement on whether this is cost cutting or a progressive step until further announcements are made. I’m feeling positive, but let’s wait and see.

Unless that work has already been done and sent off.

Perhaps this is the gateway for the rumoured Donaldson investment.

That was my first thought. I'd like to thank Colin. Everyone I know who's had dealings with him hasn't had a bad word to say about him. I wish him all the very best for the future

Can’t imagine he’s been sacked as he’s coming out on the pitch at half time. Maybe he’ll make an announcement then. Good chance he’s retiring, say his thanks to the club and fans, take the applause and enjoy life with his family

There would have been a long succession plan for his role. Nothing to worry about at all, people come and go that's life.

Not suggesting he will takeover but I'm pretty sure Paddy has been his shadow for the past 18 months so the club would have been planning for this a long time as a potential risk to the business.

Absolutely nothing to worry about, the club is evolving.

Thats actually a very good call, idea and is fully understandable, feasible. But why not say so in the statement?

Everyone leaves all employers in the end and his tenure has been reasonably long and secure of the club's future in its nature.

The club needs to make changes to key staff now in order to be ready to go with the summer closed season.
