I know this may pull the rug from under a few feet on here but Carol has stated we ain’t going nowhere.  We have a decent ground but it’s obviously not good enough for some.

The ground is not decent at all , not Carols fault at all. But their comes at point when the refurbishment costs are greater than a building a new stadium, it debate that all , now one is calling for it , but it’s a logical move  given we need 80% of the stadium upgrading

Think you're getting a bit touchy about this. It's a hypothetical discussion on a message board, not a list of demands. Worst case scenario we stay at Vale Park, which we all love anyway. Everything on here is just words typed on a keyboard. No more no less.

Why move when you can do a re-build on site and play at Wembley for a while? Would we play at Crewe when the Railway is re-built?

You obviously either don’t go to many away games or walk around in blinkers.  Our stadium is far from perfect but it’s a darn sight better than many at this level.

I’m still waiting for someone to put some numbers to all these costs.  Care to try?  Short of someone giving us the money with no ties, the only way it could work without risk is if the sale of our land covered the vast majority of the cost of buying land elsewhere + building a new stadium.  Failing that we’re borrowing a significant sum of money and taking on sizeable debt.  Loans incur interest payments.

Beyond this the debate is about something that the owners have said won’t happen.  Let that sink in for a moment.

Not touchy at all, but I think some people can’t seem to see the difference between a dream and reality.  Dream all you like. 😀

Cost wise Rotherham's stadium cost 20 million and that was 10 years ago now? 

Maybe double that with the way prices are to give £40 mil for a new stadium,

Perhaps a stand could be demolished and replaced for 5-10 mil

Well we wouldn't need to do that as the other 3 stands at VP could easily hold all of the Vale fans in them

10% agree with this. Stadium is not looking good at all and lacks any kind of atmosphere.

The stadium and the pitch have been a noose around every owner's from Bill Bell through to the current the owners.

Stoke on Trent folk are very stubborn folk if it comes to any kind of change

Vale fans in the Bycars don't want to move 100 yards to the Hamil so there would be uproar if they had to move a mile or two. !
