I totally agree with you. I just wouldn’t like the thought of us in a soulless concrete / tin shack of a ground like Colchester or god forbid a Walsall.

They don't build them like Walsall anymore.

Thank fk.

I know this may pull the rug from under a few feet on here but Carol has stated we ain’t going nowhere.  We have a decent ground but it’s obviously not good enough for some.

She may have, however sitations need assesing and maybe VP is too much of a mammoth task. Times change and move on. Port Vale needs fresh ideas.

Maybe it’s less of a mammoth task than building a new stadium from scratch.

Feel free to post your fresh ideas on here for discussion.

The demand for corporate facilities is so high because the Bycars and Railway are so unacceptably poor.

That's why the club want home fans in the Hamil.

I can understand fans having sentimental reasons for not leaving Bycars but the Hamil will be immensely popular as an home end.

It makes absolute sense to tie in the Fanzone etc with the Home end.

If we want increased attendances then the Hospitality boxes plus a finished Lorne Street and a home Hamil is the only way to house 8,500 home fans.

It makes me shudder every time somebody mentions Festival Park. A pint before the match at Brindley Farm then a pint after the game at…Brindley Farm. It would put off more than it would attract if we were to move away from Burslem.
Even if there was a suitable site in The Mother Town i’d be against it. I’ve been to enough soulless warehouse style grounds to never want one for a home ground.
Fingers crossed Kev and Carol stick to their plans to keep us at Vale Park
It really isn't that far from Burslem.

On a slight tangent, this article shows the vast sums of money involved when improving the infrastructure of a football club at our level.

On a similar tangent it appears that their American interest has  been worthwhile. We were not so lucky.

Are we planning on implementing safe standing somewhere?

I think it’s fair to say it’s not been mentioned in any of the open meetings as something the club are working towards.  My own thoughts were that the previously empty half of Lorne Street would’ve been ideal but obviously we have seats in there now.

Because I currently stand in Lorne street but would be willing to move elsewhere as long as I could stand up wherever that was

Where do you stand?  Below the disabled stand?  That’s about the only place I see fans standing in there throughout a game.  I guess if you purchase a ST for the back row of the Hamil it’ll be no problem, beyond that who knows?  It’ll obviously depend entirely who you stand in front of.

Yep that's where I go
