I see that Oldham are having a new pitch at an estimated cost of £1m at the end of the season which is being paid for by their local council. They are also having new floodlights too.

perhaps the council will pay or ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😁😄☺️😇

They had our old flood lights so they are well over due a new set.

What is clear is that the silly idea to fill the pitch with sand earlier in the season was a colossal waste of time and money which probably contributed to it being as bad as it is.

“It’s not as bad as it looks”, according to Dan Jones just the other day.  Quite simply this season it’s become an overblown excuse for the failings of our players, which currently, on a match by match basis, are more glaringly obvious than any issue with the condition of the pitch.

I think this is the first time that I have ever agreed with one of your posts

You seem to be another one who can’t see the wood for the trees with your blinkered view on formations.  Quite simply formations won’t win games if the players don’t show the required levels of competitive edge, desire and will to win, play with no tempo whatsoever, and offer inconsistent quality in key areas.  We’ve got players who aren’t quite good enough for this level.  We’ve got players who appear to lack motivation when playing “lesser” teams.  We’ve possibly got players who are resigned to moving on in the summer.  Surprisingly, simply changing formation won’t fix this.  The same players in your preferred formation will still miss sitters at one end and not track their man at the other.

I appreciate that this will be another post of mine you’ll disagree with.  As I said, wood and trees.

I agree entirely with you. Formation / systems mean absolutely nothing. Its what the players do on the pitch that shapes a game / result.   One thing you missed is " We've got players who are good enough for a top 10 finish in div 1 " ?   Based on home performances not too sure we have many, if any, at all.
