I know people have concerns about player safety but I bloody hate games being called off because of pitches frozen/logged, who gives a <ovf censored>. It's the same for both teams, makes players have to use their heads a bit more like lifting the ball on a muddy pitch etc. Just crack the hell on,

There is also a lot of thought that goes into fan safety now. When there is ice  around the stadium, within the footprint of the stadium.Never used to be this way but we have a claim culture now unfortunetly.

Well we had sold about 1100 tickets for tomorrow so that's about 800 tickets that are going have to be refunded now. I don't think they have had any snow in Morecambe and the temperatures haven't been that low during the week compared to the minus 6 we were getting in the middle of December. I sometimes think teams don't do enough to try get games on and basically wanted it off.

Depends if part of the pitch is shaded by a stand and doesn`t get any sun.

I live near Morecambe. It has been frozen solid all week. There has never been a chance it would be on without a rapid thaw.

I called Morecambe FC at 9am this morning before leaving and they said the covers were on and they weren't even planning a pitch inspection. The game was definitely going ahead. They told me the same when I went to the ground at 1.30pm.

Something is amiss here.

They would of wanted play us with our strike force being out. Doubt they would of wanted it off.
