Loosely appropriate for this thread, but Tom Conlon feels like a new signing. Let's all remember how good he was before his injury and how easily we'd have gone up with him in the team. In the top 10 midfielders in this league in my opinion.

Would agree, maybe top 15. His one footed-ness may work against him, but against Rotherham he was just using the outside of his left, which i'd argue it more reliable that him using his right...remarkable really.

Seen that theres a rumour that peterborough are interested in garrity. Probs false but if it was true I wouldn't mind if we sold him on. Dont reckon he will get anywhere near his goal tally of last year he is actually one that i think will struggle in higher divisions as he isnt amazing on the ball and his range of passing isnt that good either. Not saying hes not a good player but he would be someone id be looking cash in on if someone put an offer in. Hes deffo not irreplaceable and dont think hes looked up to scratch so far although only been two games

Hear what you saying technically he’s not up-to standard yet BUT….  goal scorers are very very difficult to find and are almost irreplaceable.

I think he will score goals at this level because his timing, movement in the box is excellent.

In today's terms, I'm not so sure that a starting place is much different to a replacement sub place.

Essentially, we have, and need two players for each position. Five subs allows for replacing half the outfield starters.

I'm really curious to see how DC utilises the squad, especially as he expects such high energy performances.

As Rugby says...Impact Players...

Wonder when we will have rolling subs like ice hockey...who knows what FIFA will dream up next!

How quickly people have decided Garritty isn't up to League One is shocking. Our fanbase can be a disgrace.

We just have 😉

What I mean is mate I am certain we will be paying a fee for another striker as well as bringing in a young lad on loan.

Its going be an interesting couple of weeks now and maybe a surprising deadline day as well with us still being in the market for players and also interest in our players is obvious. We might be surprised on who becomes available at other clubs

Love Garrity folk selling him on ,how ridiculous his professionalism is outstanding .
Last season he started slowly didn't turn out too bad did he .
Gooooarrrmnnn Ben bag a brace tomoz

If we can make money from him then its a good deal all around and helps the club to move forward. Not only are we trying to get into the championship but we are also here to develop players and sell them on at a decent profit

The "kissers disease" is bloody awful. Lost six months to it, just feels like a vampire has sucked all the life out of you. Plus it takes your immune system down, so you keep picking up other stuff at the same time. Really debilitating. But you do fully recover, slowly. Problem is it tends to recur, more mildly, for quite a while. He has my sympathy and hope he is fully recovered and all the best to him.

I remember a school chum getting glandular fever and he disappeared from school for about 6 months. That was back in the late 1960's so I imagine treatment is better now.
