One thing I have noticed is that those who are shutting down any concerns tend to make a few personal comments - references to opinions people got wrong in the past or ripping into a passionate fan who entertains with his calls to the radio. They tend not to engage with the argument itself but engage with the poster behind the argument. An ad hominem argument. There's a real anger towards posters who have different opinions than theres!

Its not everyone just one or two i've noticed. Hope we can be a bit nicer to eachother.

Seriously!  The Wilson "mystery" is, right now, just a rumour.  And if he had a boot on his foot at the airport it might just have been a preventative measure.  None of us (and I mean absolutely none of us) know anything different.

What I absolutely DO know is that DC, Flitters, Garlick and Carol are all working hard behind the scenes to bring in some new blood.  One will be a keeper - I do HOPE its Blackman; and we'll no doubt get one or two strikers, too.  When - well, that's down to DC and Flickers.

One more thing I absolutely trust in is that the management team will not let us down. 

For me, we'll end up somewhere mid-table this year (though I'm going to bet a oner with Ladbrokes that we finish inside the top-10) and we'll spend the next season or two getting ready for a push in to the Championship.  

 

KTF brother - its coming.  For now, grab a cold one and enjoy the ride 😎

The season previews are starting to appear, and FourFourTwo mag has predicted Exeter to finish 19th, Fleetwood 22nd..........and Vale 23rd !?! (though they did have Vale 11th last season, so hopefully they'll be 6 or more places wrong on us again!)

I respect your views and you talk a lot of sense just no need to go in on Ben like that. Fans have understandable worries and others are very positive. All Vale aren't we!

I definitely do not think it’s crucial

There is always the January transfer window to top up with a few players. How are the teams who have brought in lots of players going to integrate in the next couple of months? We are augmenting a settled team. So still 45 games after Fleetwood.

Yes I saw that. I also for a bit of fun always look at some of the you tube vloggers .

An Ipswich fan has us 24th , another blogger a Coventry fan has us 12th. 

Most ' experts ' think Fleetwood are in for a relegation struggle so possibly a good opening day opponent.

Hard to predict with us not doing much business, but with DC expecting 6/7 players through the door, obviously know alot more once they have arrived. Hopefully we hold our own and are competitive.

I’m not going into Ben, I thought this was a place to air views openly , my views are simple , When Ben came on to talk I was quite often left shaking my head ( and I’m very aware readers of this forum shake their heads at many of my posts )
