Interesting that DC says he's looking at bringing in 6 or 7. Looking at the current squad, I think we have 10 that will be guaranteed to be in the opening day squad of 18 (not first XI). Would have included Taylor but for the rumours. Clearly Conlon will be kept. Not sure if Robinson is ready but he's under 21 so he won't take up one of the 22 places anyway.

Looking at that, we definitely need a keeper, RWB, 2 forwards and (IMO) at least one wide winger-style player. We've got a lot in midfield but not a lot of attacking or game-changing options.

Anybody who's seen them training can they confirm if Walker was there?

Offers the ball playing centre half option as well as being very underrated in midfield. 

I felt we missed him massively after Hartlepool.

The clubs Twitter account had posted a photo of him training yesterday (bottom right). I agree though, if we had Brad Walker in the last few games we’d have gone up automatically I think he’s that important.

I hope we bring in a midfielder who can pick a pass. Ojo seems to be more of a sitting/combative type than a creator. We need cover for Conlon and I had high hopes Taylor would provide it.

Me too. Bad move for all concerned IMO. Can't help feel that his face never fit. Good luck to him and hope we can find better for the price.

Bitterly disappointed.  Had hoped Wembley was his turning point at Vale.
