Can’t be bothered, I’m sick of getting it right every season. Keeps happening. I predict it will go wrong, I get stick, and then it goes wrong.

Wish I could look silly and it all go the opposite way.

Worth pointing out its not a particularly brave or clever prediction you are making every year given only 16.7% of teams get the much coveted promotion.

Tough game football… lots of variables. Zero guarantees!

Considering we were top three when I said things would go wrong, it isn’t as clear cut.

Ermm because a fair few on here wanted it scrapped maybe 🙂

And I sure that’s exactly the reason AC starting playing it!

The infuriating thing - and there are clearly much bigger things going on in the world but still - is that we have absolutely no reason now to set up cautiously. We’re safe and - while we not exactly at the stage where we need snookers we’re not far off - we’re outside the play-offs so why not just flaming we’ll go for it?? If we were in FGR’s position, with most of the hard work done, then I get it. But we are not. We’re limping towards a mid-table finish and it feels like that’s enough for some people. I bet you could count the shots on target from the last half dozen games on the fingers off both hands.

Why could it?

Completely changes the dynamics and relationships between himself and the players, and goes completely against the way we set out our DoF which was that they wouldn’t have any say in managerial tactics.

Long season… lots of games… you don’t win the league in December… that’s a fact. And we had all the injuries.

And you referenced “every season”… we have been rubbish for loads of them so no credit for those.

How would you fix it? What’s your big call to get the success you want in the timeline you deem acceptable?

So what would you do about it if you were Carol. What’s your big call to fix it?

Basically tell AC to take his foot of the break and bloody go for it!! As I’ve put elsewhere, the only guarantees from playing as we are are that a) we’ll bore the pants of fans who might think twice about renewing next year and b) we’ll still be in L2 because with draws against the likes of Rochdale and Harrogate and defeats against mighty Colchester we certainly aren’t going to take us up!

So you would recommend Carol dictate to the management team how to play??

Slippy slope for an owner that.

Tough game football.

We've been poor for quite a while. Too dependent on certain key players who have ended up injured a lot.  I would say that I do have a lot of sympathy for AC. Didn't he say he is till in touch with DC? And we bring in an "assistant" who was a candidate for the manager's job. I kind of think he is in a rock and  hard place situation.

Since our dizzy heights of second we lost both strikers, our midfield general, our best attacking full back and now the boss himself. You cannot legislate for such appalling bad luck, nor replace four quality players with someone else’s squad players. The momentum was taken out of our play and we have failed to reignite. Add to this losing  Politic’s game changing appearances, we are at best a mid table team. Mathematically we may still be able to have a chance of the play-offs but we are not the same team that got us where we are.

Yeah, good shout, as chairpeople getting involved in the playing side of things always ends well doesn't it.

This also doesn’t fix EITHER of the 2 problems you quoted which led to me asking the questions.

1. Too many injuries

2. Poor January.

Whats your solution to those?
