Sounds like we are playing alot of long ball, we have a good midfield to pass the ball.

Very early days and great to be sat here watching a game but 3 at the back looks unconvincing. Johnson looks poor so far. 

We sound very short of ideas. It feels like one of those performances we saw in the early days of Clarke’s reign. I suspect we’re going to have to have some patience.

Yes I agree . 

Won’t get anything today at Northampton. It will take half a dozen or so games to get the new players to gel. Still a couple of attacking players short in my opinion.

I think Johnson is the one causing the issue at the moment.

He’s on a yellow and has been a bit shaky. Their players are now targeting him and instigating the press on him when we are passing it around.

Jones is caught between attacking and covering him.

I Would moves Jones to LCB and bring Benning on.

 

These are nothing special at all. If we up our game just by 10% in the second half we'll get something out of the game.

Need to take our chances and don't sit back so much.

Come on Vale they are there for the taking, just some silly defending errors by the sounds of it, when Radio Sjoke was working.

Not the best half that. Johnson looks a real liability so far. Clarke has to take him off for benning and move jones over.

A tad harsh… he’s not playing brilliantly and I would take him off for a tactical change but “real liability” is a bit of a hyperbole
