If we go down then yes you could say she’s left it far too late. A manager should’ve been in place then backed him to bring his own few players in. It didn’t happen and we will pay the price of going out the league.

Raglan was never great for us but we have replaced those players with some shockingly bad players. Talk about regression.

Another big factor is stability at a club, we have been all over the place for 4 years or more. Cheltenham are settled with a set way of playing that they’ve worked on for a long time and they’ve been building momentum for the last 2 or 3 seasons. Meanwhile we are coming into this game off the back of a new managerial appointment, with yet another starting 11 and a formation we aren’t used to playing.  Simply put we have no identity and Raglan has gone somewhere that’s light years away from us.

Yep I’d agree but this last year has been the most stable we have been for ages. How we wish we’d not kept /signed half of this lot now 😂

It pains me to say anything negative against Carol, as I despised Smurthwaite more than anyone, but the failure to sack Askey sooner and give the new manager the January window is going to cost us our league status.
