Match Thread: Stevenage v Port Vale

Featured Replies

Genuinely think he's worse than the likes of Danny Glover and Kyle Perry. Everyone that supports Vale should have a whip around so he can be released from his contract.

He was pants the first time he joined us.

Ben Purkiss is so middle of the road

Talk about sitting on the fence.

I thought he has been pretty good.

Has their keeper made a save?

I've said before, I've got nothing personal against John Askey. He did very well last season, that will never change, and comes across as a genuine and nice fella. But he's not the man to take us forward and hoping he suddenly starts to get things right is just wasting time and eating up more of the season so that the next bloke has less time to change around our fortunes.

I tried to delude myself into thinking he could do alright this time around. For that I should be sharing the same taxi as Askey.

Let’s bring Rodney on and play the same formation....

This is Baldrick's cunning plan.  Make the opposition think he's changing formations with a sub and don't change anything.  Keep playing "Formation Plan A" as that is the only plan he knows.

Come on Vale.

He stabilised us in our time of need but now the aim is to take us on to the next level we have fallen apart and he has taken us as far as he can

No but he has had a couple of sandwiches with his back 4, as they are bored with not doing a lot tonight.

The Vale players have a Christmas party on their mind 🍺 🤪 🤪

He’s started tonight with a formation that people wanted in 4-2-3-1 and it just hasn’t worked. At all.

I can’t believe how we have gone from looking like a Top 3 side ten days ago to looking like Bottom 3 now. Since Joyce was sent off v Tranmere, we’ve lost that game + the next three!
