A small point and one thats not important in the scheme of things, but the PVFC signage in the Railway Paddock seats is not centered and it drives my OCD up the wall 🥴

I have to say though, the ground is looking better than I have ever seen it in my 58 years of supporting the club, to me now it actually looks like a stadium and one that the fans can be proud of, all thanks to Carol and Co.

I agree. Kept looking at it and wondering why they hadn't centred it but who knows?!

Also have to agree how splendid the ground is looking, better than in years. It looks a picture. Apparently fans on the Rochdale site were commenting how out of place it looked for League 2. Hopefully, we can put that right this season!

All thanks to the Shanahans, of course - how great for once to have owners who really care for the club. Brilliant.

The stadium really is looking great. I was quite vocal about the way the facilities had deteriorated under the previous ownership. It’s a fantastic effort from all concerned.

A mute point, but I’ve never understood why we have yellow seats (or blue for that matter). We play in black and white. Clubs like Newcastle and Notts County use these colours, why can’t we?

Much prefer the yellow - nice and bright. When I first went to the new Meadow Lane at Notts County, I thought their stands looked like four slag heaps. All personal taste of course!

Exactly it represents Vale's community and attaches it to Burlsem and represents the old and new. It looks so much better on the kit and merchandise too.

Does it though?

Maybe it's just nostalgia but I reckon that looks fking brilliant.

Obviously it doesn't apply to us but on the subject on crests, at least 21 clubs have basically the same thing now. It's boring. That Vale badge was a worldy in comparison. Nothing like it.

Except it is though, because a drawing of Earth and an old football is quite different to a drawing of a shield, isn't it?

Birmingham have had that badge for 44 years. Lots of heritage. Unique as well, so it's cool.

The Vale one was also unique. Looked smart. Not generic recoloured dirge like 20 other clubs. I and I imagine a lot of fans miss it. End of.

The current current one has plenty of heritage etc. Anyhow going stop here as this is a thread about stadium improvement. We have different opinions a nd that is fair enough.

Sitting in the Paddock it is not something that bothers me, but is it due to the middle gangway not being in line with the half way line? Just a thought.

It would be great if the TV gantry could be moved to the Railway side so the newly completed Lorne St and tunnel are on full show, giving the ground and club a fresh new image to complement the progress recently made by the new regime. Plus the awful Family Stand would be out of view!

I've always thought that TV coverage would look better from that side. But that's probably because loads of goals I remember from a kid looked better from the Railway Side than they did on TV (such as that Lee Mills free kick against Ipswich).

On the very rare occasion that ATV sent the Star Soccer cameras to Vale, they set up a camera position on the Railway side didn't they? I'm sure I've seen footage from there.

Yes they did, they set the scaffolding up against the wall on the half way line in the Railway Paddock, I remember a game against Mansfield being televised.

It's all about opinions, I prefer the one we have now as I hated the old one.  I have spoken to quite a few friends and most prefer the one we have as well.

Wouldn't do for everyone to like the same thing.

That must have been a bugger if you were sat behind it in the stand on the old seats. I've seen a poor quality clip of that Mansfield game. I think it was the second (non-striped sleeve) Admiral kit that had white shorts and black socks. Our keeper wore red. Did Mansfield go up that year?

I think there was another home defeat against Sheffield United that they filmed from the Railway side. Maybe early 80s adidas kit era.
