More positive stuff. Looks like the Bycars is getting a face lift as part of a sponsorship with Autonet. Be great if they put new seats in as well, don’t think I’ve ever seen so many shades of yellow! 😄

Lots of the seats were replaced a few weeks ago with new yellow ones.

Is that at the back? The front block seems to have patches of seats that are a lighter shade of yellow.

I had wonderd as more and more pictures were showing up fresher and fresher. Including the older side of the lorne street, where there is less of the faded seats.

They are doing a fantastic job.

Are they sponsorsing just the stand as saw a hint the paddock was getting sorted as well.

Good spot, just seen that. Well, if they sponsor 3 stands, could that mean a full stadium sponsorship is on its way? What would be your thoughts if they announced the ‘Autonet Stadium’?

What is the deal with the fading of the plastic seats.Is it natural for them to fade over time, that they need to be replaced but previous owners have tried to save money by not doing so? Or did we skimp on things and get cheap ones that fade?

Those who want to call it Vale Park will. For me if a stadium sponsorship is on the way it means more revenue for. Port Vale bring on the Autonet Stadium.

That's my opinion too. I'm all for a stadium renaming because there's nothing stopping people still calling it Vale Park.

After all, people call the stands the Railway, the Bycars etc no matter who sponsor them so the same with the stadium.

The flipside for the company sponsoring the ground is all the official communications will call it by its sponsored name, they get their name all over the TV highlights and they get to be associated with the best owners we've had.

I just think after 20 years in the sun and the rain they fade like most things. At £9 a seat it would cost a fortune to replace them all but they are currently replacing all the Lorne street ones

At least the black seats spell out Port Vale Football Club now. Under Norman it looked like Fcil Vele Tuutlell Rlup. And the advertising slots are filled. Not been there for a couple of years, but on screen it looks like the ground of a professional football club now. Not like Nuneaton - minus the skips.

Pre COVID I found I was much more relaxed during matches than I’d been at any time over the previous few seasons,  So, if you’re reading this Carol, I think arm rests and a reclining back wouldn’t go amiss in the Bycars. Thanks.

If sponsoring the ground name happens then so be it and under any circumstances (especially right now) it may bring vital revenue into the club but wouldn't it be nice to keep sponsorship out of the name, almost unique even ?

Considering that they already sponsoring Kidsgroves Stadium as the Autonet Insurance Stadium. Maybe it will be different or mor unique that is if they are.
