Several of you seem to have been thinking the same thoughts as me. I was just thinking of the games after seeing Blackpool mentioned in the Sentinel's Tom Pope column.

I'm reverting back to how we covered games in the pre-Covid times and each friendly will have its own dedicated match thread.

The one for Blackpool is here -

It's also on the top RH corner of the sidebar.

We'll use that match thread to post any details of a live stream, team news, goal flashes plus (presuming there is a stream) your thoughts on the action.

Thanks!

good comms again!

All we need is a report afterwards, why do we need to know the time and location of something we can't attend or see? I'm sure if it were matches we could attend it would be entirely different and we'd all know through multiple communications. But the friendlies are mainly an exercise for players and manager now.

The club seems to be rightly concentrating its efforts on shirt sales, fostering good relations with fans by publishing their photos in the new kits and promoting the club shop being open today. Those are things fans can attend, have been made aware of and which also generate some crucial revenue for the club during difficult times.

We've had two superbly done kit launches, both with professional videos (and graphics) both creating huge interest and positive feedback. I would say the comms is excellent at the moment.
