Very amusing reading the pre match comments after the team was announced.

Just glad I chose not to post my thoughts on the line up as I’d be looking like a dick as well!

Still time for the team to crumble - this is Port Vale we are talking about. But I hope not. Glad we are being proved right royally wrong. May it continue.

Vale could and should be out of sight, have dominated the game.

Kay on a yellow, he's got to be careful. "Oustanding" professional foul on a Vale break away and the Yeovil player didn't even get a word from the ref.

Come out ready, compete and this one should be ours.

Excellent first half. Monty a revelation on the right. Manny mopping up evert second ball and getting up in support. All of the back 4 solid, but especially vassell. The way we're set up essentially forces the wide players to cut in rather than cross, and as our crossing is generally shocking this makes perfect sense.

Manny the difference yet again though. If we can keep him fit we'll win a lot more than we lose.

So are we all going on Tuesday night

Can’t wait to show the obnoxious Stokies hoping to get one over us what real football is about.

We can’t allow them to outnumber us on our own patch.

This is a one off game and most of us don’t give a stuff about the EFL cup

No game on Saturday so no excuse for Aspin to put out a weakened side.I am sure Pope,Conlon,Smith and Vassell will be up for it.

The lineup looked terrible and then when we kicked off and saw players played on opposite sides to what they’d normally do.... but to be fair we’ve played well. Yeovil look awful although they’ve come into it for the last ten mins mind. Would you believe ir though Monty pops up with an excellent goal and he had a good first 20, although he drifted out of it after that. Manny showed what we need midfielders to do and that’s break the lines. We’ve haven’t been troubled too much. Their right winger looks a bit dangerous. But so far so good. Maybe this shows where we are in the league, capable of putting in shockers like the last 2 games and then putting in a first half like that against a poor Yeovil.
