I've tracked this discussion since #1 and my feelings remain the same: I'm not fussed about what Stoke City do, or don't do

I'm with Howjy in my lack of respect to Stoke. Thing is, they're still hung up over us despite being millions better off, leagues above us etc. It's hardly Man U and Liverpool is it, but for some reason they can't stop.

I look forward to seeing the plane as long as they drop!

Two years ago I was in St James' Park while Newcastle, already relegated, were in the process of beating Spurs 5-1 with 10 men. The Sunderland fans chose this moment to fly a banner over the ground with a message which most folk in the ground couldn't read! Meanwhile, Sunderland fans at Watford were brandishing banners saying "Enjoy Burton". In terms of actions coming back to bite folk on the bum, this one pretty much takes the biscuit.

 

If Stoke should fluke a couple of wins and stay up they will be laughing their socks off for years. If, however, they go down, a few bedsheets hanging from the A500 bridges to greet them on their return from Swansea would have been a hell of a lot cheaper!

I hope they spend all match on Saturday looking out for it and it never arrives. They're wound up by it already, which works for me.

 

The cat is out of the bag now anyway, so with them not confirmed relegated there's no way anyone would set themselves up look stupid when it could still backfire.

After a decade or so of Pulis, they’re used to gormlessly looking into the heavens for 90 minutes just to maybe get a glimpse of the ball. Not that I’m stereotyping Pulis’ style of course.
