Match Thread: Mansfield Town v Port Vale

Although virtually safe it is not the time to relax completely, but to play without the pressure of late against a team who have won fewer than us over the last 10 games. They may be thinking of a late run-in now they are back in the POs courtesy of Lincoln`s loss. With playing for contracts in Aspin`s mind, is giving Saturday`s team another game to settle, or is it something new? Go for it Vale and put that 2% maths chance out of people`s mind, if the Spires have not done it already.

Still need to keep our shape and discipline. Play with a bit more freedom and confidence but no less intensity. I don’t like others having mathematical chances to catch us and want to end as far away from the bottom as possible. It’s been a poor season, let’s start as we mean to go on in August.

No hrs .

As for the game lets hope we score with every attempt we have as what goes around comes around .

The game end scoreline was ridiculous at Vale .

I think we willhave the run of the ball and win .

Let's have a big following for this to show the lads we are behind them and thankful for their efforts to keep us in Leaque Football. Part one of the end of season party....next stop Cambridge for a real hum dinger of a send off.

Yes am hoping for a sell out,new ground for alot and just up the road.Come on Vale lets hit the town in numbers and cheer the boys on.

Mansfield were probably the best side I saw at Vale Park this season but they have obviously gone downhill since then

Really? They were awful until they scored their 1st goal just before half time, they rarely got out of their own half, generally just lumping the ball away with all the pressure coming from us. Had we deservedly gone into the lead then I'm sure that we would have gone on to beat them handsomely. They actually only had 4 shots on target and scored all of them.
