Brexit again...

I don't think anyone needs experts.... they are useful to strengthen an argument, depending on what argument you wish to make you will probably find an expert to support it..... and one to counteract it too.

If you need to blame anyone for trump look no further than Hillary.... the lesser of 2 crap candidates I would suggest.

Climate change is not and never will be an agreed scientific fact.... according to experts.

Brexit was a decision made by the people for the people despite doomsday forecasts by lots of experts with vested interests.

Didn't experts once say the earth was flat, the sun orbited the earth, the titanic was unsinkable, the war would be over by Xmas, Clinton would win by a landslide and remain would win comfortably..... all experts who were wrong... but even a stopped clock is correct sometimes.

Listen to them by all means but don't bet your shirt.

This is a god awful system in my eyes. I have to waste a Saturday of life voting for the d 1 c k heads that lie the least. If I am ill on the day and can't vote I get fined. Everyone should have a democratic right not to vote if they don't want to.

Do you get a "none of the above" option?

I see Vince is stepping down now that his 2nd referendum spouting hasn't attracted much interest in his pointless party... he wasn't a bad politician... and steel is in the brown stuff over humpty dumpty smith... doesn't look good for the 3rd or is it 4th party.... still there are the rebels in waiting standing by.... until the next election.

It's plain common sense to take the advice of people who know a lot more about these things than we do.

In terms of the economy it would be foolish to ignore the opinions of bodies like the Bank of England, CBI and IMF.

You don't like what they say because they don't support your views. Yet, conversely, you do agree with the views of idiots like Farage, Mogg and Fox because they are spouting nonsense that you want to hear.

Do you go to the dentist and question him when he says you need a filling? Or the doctor who tells you to take these pills or risk a heart attack?

Or do you shrug your shoulders and say "No thanks. I don't like what you're telling me. I know better."

We don’t need experts...followed by a load of nonsense. If we didn’t need experts we’d still be living in caves. If you think that the rise of a criminal, traitorous, racist president, and his bases continued support for him, was down to his previous opponent then there is no point arguing. If you need 100% of scientists, as opposed to 99.9% to say it’s an agreed on scientific fact you’re purpously doing your usual fence balancing waffle. But as usual misinterpret what was posted in order to make a pointless point.

There are countless cases where the experts are proven wrong.... including the ones you quote.... listen to them by all means but don't take it as gospel.

I had numerous doctors tell me I simply suffered mild attacks of arrythmea to find out at the age of 50 I had a 2cm hole in my heart.... and I have ex wives who claim I have no heart.

Straw man based on anecdotes. If you needed brain surgery you’d want an expert to do it, not some random guy off Facebook. If you were going to build a house, you’d employ an architect. If you wanted a boiler installed you’d want someone who wasn’t going to blow your house up. As ever, I’ve no idea what your point is.

Trump was elected because the voters found him slightly more palatable than Clinton... probably along the lines of they think trump is bad.... they know Clinton is bad.... only 2 to choose from... an idiot in a long line of idiot presedents ...or a lying crook who thinks the voters are idiots.... both crap, one proving himself crap the other already proven to be crap...... hell of a choice..... but that's democracy.

Well in that case surely an MEP has a good knowledge of how the EU work and how corrupt it may be.

What better knowledge than that?

And their **** election system which, like ours, allows the candidate (party) with fewer votes to win. Over 2 million fewer in Trump's case.
