Brexit again...

Straw man based on anecdotes. If you needed brain surgery you’d want an expert to do it, not some random guy off Facebook. If you were going to build a house, you’d employ an architect. If you wanted a boiler installed you’d want someone who wasn’t going to blow your house up. As ever, I’ve no idea what your point is.

Experts can be wrong..... because they claim expertise doesn't make them infallible.

So which expert doctor should I have listened to?.... the first when I was 14?.... the many inbetween? The NHS doctor who didn't tell me or the same doctor who did when I paid privately?

Experts give an indication .

I like the French system of elections, like a knockout stage meaning that everyone initially votes for who they want and the 2 parties with the most votes go in to a second round of votes to see who wins. This way you don’t think you are wasting a vote the first time.

I don't think anyone needs experts.... they are useful to strengthen an argument, depending on what argument you wish to make you will probably find an expert to support it..... and one to counteract it too.

If you need to blame anyone for trump look no further than Hillary.... the lesser of 2 crap candidates I would suggest.

Climate change is not and never will be an agreed scientific fact.... according to experts.

Brexit was a decision made by the people for the people despite doomsday forecasts by lots of experts with vested interests.

Didn't experts once say the earth was flat, the sun orbited the earth, the titanic was unsinkable, the war would be over by Xmas, Clinton would win by a landslide and remain would win comfortably..... all experts who were wrong... but even a stopped clock is correct sometimes.

Listen to them by all means but don't bet your shirt.

Hilary had far more votes, 2m I believe, the voting system gave it to Trump.

So ignore all doctors, go live in a cave, turn off your computers, and pretend I’m saying you should take every expert as being correct every time, and completely miss the point and ignore what I said just to waffle on.

If you see 100 doctors and 99 of them said you need surgery or you might die, what are you going to do. Trust the weight of expert opinion based on years of study and experience pretend that someone’s ignorance is of equal importance to their knowledge?

Similar to the U.K. it goes on amount of States won, that is the rules, always has been so can’t argue with the result. Well you can but you’d be wrong.

Losers will always try and find an excuse for their defeat, especially in politics.

Nowadays, you rarely get anybody saying "Fair do's,the best team won, let's honour the result".

When did I say ignore all doctors? I listened to them all. It was only the last one who recommended surgery which I had. None of the experts were right except the last one and he wasn't completely right.

People have opinions, some more grounded by experience than others but they are still opinions, because a person has a speciality doesn't make that opinion fact.

Listen by all means...

As for your earlier remark about sitting on the fence..... I'm a remainer... brexit has already cost me money.

It's all getting a little confusing now.... according to jezza and the Labour party they won the last general election.

Not similar at all, UK based on reasonably similar sized constituencies, not that the UK can criticise anyone with its unelected House of Lords. but no politicians will ever change a system that keeps them in power even if it does not work.
