And Boris is not just for Brexit - he will be for five years if he wins.  What further damage will he do in that time?

Brexit will be too much like hard work for Johnson, one Xmas will be enough, plenty of other willing helpers to wreck the country

I've heard a few times today one of the reasons for the flooding is due to the lack of dredging that used to be carried out years ago, apparently, due to EU regulations dredging is restricted because it disturbs wild life, can anyone of you experts confirm or deny ?

Winning fairly by a majority of course and then discussing with the opposition why they missed out.

To improve you have to accept criticism, especially on a football forum.

I’m happy to accept criticism of anyone who isn’t a cowardly hypocritic.

Dredging can cause flooding because it allows water down stream too fast,  Prevention is by diverting excess rainfall onto floodplains. Planting more trees helps. Building dykes where needed, Leeds are still waiting for theirs from the last floods. Ploughing across hill sides instead of up and down, Small dams on streams to slow the waters down, Of course building on flood plains is foolish, but that does not stop it. Little to do with the EU.

There was a very good chance a few years ago [before this Brexit nonsense] that Tesla would come to the UK. Language ties, the special relationship, and and cultural links made the UK a prime area to build a factory, so if anyone tries to claim that Brexit isn't the main reason why we've lost this venture and 7-10,000 jobs as well then they are being dishonest.

Most investors will want to remain inside the single market for over 500 million customers, with no barriers. If/when we leave the EU we'll immediately be at a big disadvantage.

Tariff barriers will go up and we'll be on the outside of an economic powerhouse with no seat at the table and wondering why we're dropping down the pecking order.

If/when we leave the EU we'll immediately be at a big advantage too.

Tarriff barriers will go down and we'll be outside of an economic anchor who are trying to erode our democracy and sovereignty as a nation whilst lying about their true intentions on a daily basis. Free to trade with the economies who are rapidly increasing and not having to pay a monsterous membership fee for very little in return.

Oh, and anyone who disagrees with me is dishonest.

It’s clear his concern isn’t what deal is good or bad. It’s ‘winning’ and criticising those who aren’t on ‘his side’. Little else to offer.

I mean we did have a referendum and we did decide to leave the EU.

I really feel like I have to remind some of you of this even 3 years later.

Shock. Horror. The Express and Mail blame the EU for flooding in Yorkshire!

The EU has nothing to do with it. EU law does not ban dredging. The EU WFD and the directive for floods do not include detailed rules on how member states manage their water courses. We decide that for ourselves. But as with the NHS cutbacks and a lack of staffing haven't helped one iota.

Also the EU are more than willing to help us in this time. The UK requested help to the EU to produce maps following flooding in Northern England. The EU, activated Copernicus right away.

You are correct about Germany but this is only their first factory.I would be more worried if Tesla decide to locate their next few factories away from the UK?

Why are we a better location than the Czech Republic or China?
