Think you need to take a chill pill.

Giving it to his dad is just asking for trouble.

How are we meant to get anywhere now though?

The board now own 31% of 78%, which is 39%.

Thank god he's not backing the board but this makes things really difficult.

I make it slightly different, board own 28%, Robbie owns 20%, so effectively board now own nearer 35%.

I think his response is quite poor myself.

If he wanted to donate money to PVFC then he should have bought sponsorship.

He bought (at the time) 24.9% of a company with a multi million pound turnover and deep roots within his local community. That comes with responsibilities attached to it.

You cannot own a quarter of a business and not hold any opinion about the direction it goes in. You might as well sit there and watch it go down the pan.

Time to grow a pair, Robbie. Seriously man.

When you put it like that Santa, I think that you are bang on the money. Robbies shares are like a 'clock with no fingers'=========

We are in the same position as if he had not bought shares, if he had backed the board we would have no chance.

Our only chance now on a share vote is to split the board, or starve them out financially in the longer term.

Very bad news...even 51% is going to be extremely difficult now...this strengthens the boards grip further.

I'm concerned that the results from an EGM will be used by the board to confirm 'in their eyes' that the shareholders/fans have spoken...we know in reality that's not the case but unfortunately the majority won't understand.

Not good enough Robbie. Being the major share-holder brings with it responsibility, and this sitting on the fence easy option is as good as voting in favour of the board.

Claiming to not know about the situation is a poor excuse, you've surely got access to a phone or the internet.

You've let down the real Vale fans who aren't as fortunate as you to make an impact on the club they love and the community it supports.

I only hope fans 'abstain' from a purchase next time you're flogging your latest CD.

Cheers Rob up the Vale!

This is bad news because without Robbie's vote things may never change. He needs to be made fully aware that his actions are threatening the very future of PVFC. Whatever his reasoning he can simply give his proxy to any of his trusted friends and say, vote as you feel is best. In that way he won't get stick. If Phil taylor had his proxy his vote could be put to good use. As useful as his £250k was when he put it in, it is now a millstone around the club's fture and if he doesn't see the need to vote or have any interest, then perhaps he should transfer his shareholding to someone who will pay for it and will use the vote, Mo via Taylor? It has to be done.

Cannot the board block the transfer? It makes me realize what an evil setup we are dealing with. Did anyone understand the ramifications of the V2001 rules? I think the circumstances need to be explained to him, his reputation as a man of the Potteries is at stake.

Hi Guy just received this official update from Robbies team:

Dear PV FC Board and Fans,

Back in 2005, I invested in Port Vale at a time when the club came to me needing money.

I was very happy to help, the club is a big part of my childhood and roots. I made it very clear at the time I made the investment that as I live in Los Angeles, I would not be able to follow The Vale closely enough to be involved in anyway in the running of the club or called upon to be involved in any future decision making. That position has not changed and I do not feel well informed enough or close enough to the current debate to vote either way. I will therefore respectfully be abstaining from any vote on the future ownership and running of the club.

Robert Williams

Not being funny but what does he need to know about the running of the club.......... He must get hold of the accounts and know that there is no money in the club that WHY vale asked him to put in years ago. As far as I see it his £5 shares are worth about 10pence each and some one whats to come in, invest MILLIONS and make his share be worth something again......... Sorry but it seams like a no brainer to me.... Robbie PLEASE PLEASE use your vote and get mo in
