It will be interesting what team starts, and I guess it depends on how many games Aspin/Rudge have seen.

I'd go with pretty much the same team from last night.

Roos

Gibbons

Davis (Anderson if they have a big lad up front)

Smith

Gunning

Denton

Whitfield

Pugh / Tonge (Depending on who is freshest)

Worrell

Barnett

Turner

Subs:

Hornby

Davis/Anderson

Pugh /Tonge

Harkness

Yates

Pyke

Pope

Thoughts?

Too many loan players

You are 100% correct Connor.

Reason I advise us not get ahead of ourselves is Chesterfield 0 yeovil 2

Jack Lester ex legend given a heroes reception followed by 90 minutes of the usual turd.

We are bereft of confidence , quality and effort.

Aspin will address the latter the other two will not happen overnight.

However I am more than optimistic we will steadily claw up the table.

3-0 would be fairytale stuff

Yes, we need to manage our expectations for Satdee. They have a good away following (on another thread, it reckons they're averaging about 1000) and a certain JJ Hooper who (like Sinnott at Chesterfield) will be wanting to put one over us. We can beat them, I'm sure, but we have to do it on the pitch. If Rudgie does his legendary preparation on the opposition and Aspo sets us up right, we should be OK but let's not get carried away. This ain't going to be easy.

Draw anybody? Would we be happy then get it sorted for 3pts against Cheltenham

Be interesting c who Aspo chooses .

Like others have said its the same players so lets c if they have being playing within themselves or they can up it to a acceptable level .

Off the pitch lets hope the fans turn up and firstly give Aspo and Rudgie the reception there past work at the club thoroughly deserves.

Once 15.00 comes and it kicks off it becomes the present and lets hope the players all play there best game .

Me son and nephew never saw Aspo play and Rudge manage if they did they would know that those were fabulous times .

I hope for there sakes those days r not in the to distant future

Seems some aint to happy and predict 3 to 400 visiting only, also some interesting score lines predicted and a post buy a madeley mariner remembering aspins - one suggesting Kelly at left back ouchhh

Hope we keep it tight as we don't have a strong midfield and take a chance out of what we create, going to be a great day be good to cap it off with a win..

Just watched Popey’e pre-match interview on Youtube Port Vale and was shocked by how downbeat he was. I’ve NEVER been a critic of Tom but found his interview deeply unimpressive with no sign whatsoever that he was excited by the new regime and raring to go. I hope that isn’t an indication of how the rest of the team is feeling.

He said they’d had a full scale practice on the main pitch with all 30+ players involved. His interview was so poor I wondered if he’d played badly and suspects he might not feature under the new regime. Whatever, it was a pretty lame performance for the camera.

Hope I’ve read it wrong!

That’s just typical Pope! He is always slightly down beat when he is interviewed... even when he was interviewed just after promotion! I get the feeling he doesn’t really like media duties!
