Matchday Thread: Chesterfield v Port Vale

Recommended Posts

First half hour was fine. Vale the better team, forced a few corners and if Harkness hadn't overplayed in good positions more than once we might have deservedly led. But then Chesterfield started to get a foot in the game and yet again we concede soft, soft goals. The first is straight through the middle and the second is a poor headed clearance and Hornby pushing the ball straight into the middle. Chesterfield are poor so what does that make us?

Who in their right mind would come and work for smurthwaite:sad:

This is the problem, Vale is a rudderless ship. Who is working for who? Who is in charge? Who would even make the decision on the managers future?

Vale's problems run much deeper than just a disjointed football squad that can't defend.
