You're correct non the initial season being due to the ST offer, but in the final two season (one near miss on PO's and one promotion season) we got more home fans through the gate than in L1 (barring our first season back with promotion momentum), and this was without ST offers. We got over 7500 home fans on a Tuesday night in September in L2 simply because we had a competent team who'd made a good start.

 

I think you are right. If we start well, then people will pay on the gate to see a winning team. There's not a massive difference between the standard bottom half L1 and top half L2 really. If we're winning games, people will watch and that's what happened last time in L2.

Have a side in the top 6 and we will see crowds over 5000 and pushing 6k.

 

 

I'm relatively pleased with the signings so far. Steady but not spectacular (realism is needed). Obviously we have some key positions that need addressing, but there is plenty of time before the season kicks off.

I suppose it's an expression of means to an end - either to put more bums on seats or to improve the playing side. The two aren't entirely separate.

That's what Unofficial vale on Twitter said earlier in the week, that he was signing as well as Chris Hussey.

Sounds like bikey won't be signing. Brown said we still have regular contact with him but he's possibly Looking at other options in different countries that may pay extremely well, wonder if he's looking at China?

Just his record overall is terrible, less than a goal every 4 goals on average. His best ever spell was 14 in 33 for Crawley who were actually promoted in that season (in his prime age). Since then, he's scored 39 in 197 (from Wiki), less than 1 in 5.

They'd probably pay him £50K a week as well knowing them. Still, we've got Kay, so no longer that fussed.

Yeah they'll pay whatever he wants. It's a shame as I thought he was excellent but as you say we do have a replacement in kay. I really hope eagles signs up though.
