Coleman Now

Couple of issues here:

i) Nobody in football wants to deal with NS. It would take a couple of phone calls to people in the football community for a prospective manager to run a mile.

ii) NS needs to be in control. He inherited MA but since has appointed cheap, desperate, young 'coaches' who aren't brave enough to stand up to him and will allow him to interfere.

******* in the wind if you think we're gonna firstly try, but secondly attract a proper manager whilst NS is at the helm.

Is this the same John Coleman who had Accrington 2 points off non league football in January ?

He's probably thinking more of the Coleman who was within a crossbars width of getting Accrington into League 1 last season and has got that club punching above their weight every season on what is probably the smallest budget in League 2.

Depends on the money he's prepared to pay to get a decent manager. If in Lg1 my 1st choice would be Nigel Pearson, who I think is in similar position to Adams when 1st took charge. He needs a club to give him a chance to rebuild his career, is no nonsense and will certainly install pride back in the shirt. I think that's the kind of managerial appointment required to make a statement that Smurf has learnt and has a plan with ambition. On a shoe string budget in L1 then Ainsworth would be a great choice although I agree it may be difficult to tempt him.

Definitely not Coleman !

Coleman is my choice.

Accrington should be a non league team with their gates and budget but he's not only kept them in the league he's won a promotion and keeps them sniffing around the play offs each season.

Totally agree.

Can't think of anyone who would want to manage us as whosoever became manager would first and foremost have to be a yes man as Norman has to be in charge, any manager worth his salt would have to control the footballing side as that wouldn't be allowed at the vale we look likely to get someone who has been a perennial failure in living memory and who would be a poodle at Normans Crufts.
