I thought Browns tactics were wrong today, the midfield had no shape, the threat from our strikers was non-existent and the defence was all at sea.

 

A very average team strolled in an out of VP with 3 easy points.

Apart from the 3 Goals it wasn't half bad

U r right it was ALL BAD

The scoreline was very harsh .

Until the error for the second goal from Purkiss and Foley we were played very well bar the ball breaking for us .

I dont think we deserved lose at all .

My question for Michael Brown is this the centre half no 5 for peterboro was very dominant in the air why wasnt Regino Cecelia brought on .

I actually enjoyed Vales performance the scoreline is ridiculous .

Final ball work on it all week Vale and u will get better results,on free kicks and dead balls the players need to move a bout more.

I thought we'd turned a corner and I was really looking forward to this game but that was a real kick in the balls. Back to square one on that showing, I can't think of any positives at all to say.

Today wasn't good but previously 5 points from 4 games one against an inform top of the table team whom Vale were unlucky to lose to and played well says differently. Brown has a huge job on his hands, Bruno/Smurf much to answer for.

 

8 in 5 or 6 out including Grant who may have been one of the higher eaners so probably financially neutral.

 

Posh are not in form. They've been getting battered!

 

Other than Scunthorpe we've played some of the worst sides in the league.

Mr Smurthwaite needs to do two things:

1. Spend proper money to get a competent CEO in place, and

We looked really poor. Didn't play like a team at all. Our full backs were really poor.

Their No5 was huge and won everything. Their No11 and 13 controlled the game and the ref both physically and mentally.

 

They looked a really confident professional side. We looked weak and unfit.

 

The only good for me was Leonardo Fasan's baggy shorts. Thought he was going into a boxing ring.

I agree , take out the last 5 mins nothing in it - bearing in mind we had 3 making home debuts - we were lightweight in the air Walker for me did zero (although purkiss seems to be the scapegoat and tes he did make mistakes) needed forrester on in place of walker poss half time- we broke from their corners pegged them back 2nd half just a bit lightweight up top ,hooper need to be more central instead of on wing.

 

Yes its another loss & a difficult remainder of season especially with a young squad who will be great then misfire.

Calling all happy clappers and optimists....are you now ready to join the band of realists as to the fate that await us?? That was a horrible mess of a performance...and thankfully I didn't see the last two goals as I'd given up the ghost long before then.

The positives based on the 85 mins or so I saw were the goalie, who made a good penalty save and generally dealt with everything ok apart from a couple of nervous clearances; and Shodipo who showed promise.

The negatives are too numerous to list, but the main concerns were the midfield, which did not have enough guile or craft about it, ADF had a terrible game; but also the full-back positions with Tanser looking what he is...a Rochdale reserve.

I commented whilst listening to Brown on RS prior to the game that he spoke very well and clearly knew want he wants but the tactics and line-up were all wrong today. Why is Hooper continuing to be played wide? Why is Forrester not starting ahead of Walker who offered very little? it's Folely or ADF, not both.

We look every inch a relegation side. I predicted we'd concede 3 and was immediately shot down by some posters on here but after Grants and Alnwicks departure that soft centre we already had just got that little bit softer.

I'll not even mention a quite ludicrous refereeing performance but that wasn't the reason we lost I'm afraid.
