Brian Melzack QPR & The Vale

So Melzack the property developer is bessie mates with Selman the property developer.....also Melzack's mate Hooper was the u.k./European head of operations and contact number (mobile phone number) for Ameriturf that established global company that Port Vale had signed a contract with although that we are supposed to forget that fact as the company seems to have vanished almost as quickly as they were plucked from the ether just before the EGM....

interestingly someone with a keen eye and memory has found a picture on the Spinturf website that is the same project as one on the old Ameriturf website.....despite various geographical locations Ameriturf/Spinturf/Blueskyturf are all registered in California.

Anyway this deal is the nightmare scenario of 400k for 24.9% to give the Board over 50% and complete control....the rest of the

so called 5 million be it grants, loans is not investment into Vale it is for a "showhome" training complex on land Vale don't own and will

probably have to rent....the USA tours against college teams is not money into Vale nor is the 2.5 million into community projects which is probably the old regeneration grants feast.....so it seems that Ameriturf and Bluesky are both deals worked on by Melzack

the property developer and friend of Selman the property developer

that will bring in 400k for 24.9% and complete control while the rest is not investment into Vale but rather by the looks of it a 'showhome" training complex for the company and USA tours which

is not money into Vale and this 2,5 million for community projects is also nothing to do with the football club.

So it is the 24.9% extra for the V2001 Board to get over 50% and

as they have the seats already that 400k will be spent on the stand

but only after Bratt has been paid off....

BA, this is a very black view and I'm afraid is not the actual story. There are things I know which I can't disclose (yet!). Although many will view the deal as not ideal, it is still very much to the benefit of Port Vale FC as a long term investment strategy and not as a short term boost

Look the USA tours against college teams is not money into the club

and someone building themselves a "showhome" training complex and U.K. headquarters on land that Vale don't own and will probably have to rent is not money into the club and regeneration grants and "community projects" is not money into the club....this is the nightmare scenario of just 400k from someone not interested in the club and who has not even visited the club that will give the Board

and extra 24.9% such that they can never be challenged at an EGM ever again but we might get a loan player.

Money might be spent in Co-Op travel and Tesco but that isn't 8 million into Port Vale.....this deal is 400k into the club not 5 million

and it doesn't sort out the debts and it is not 1.2 million immediate

day one new shares investment....this American is not interested in the club and has not even visited...this American is not local and accountable or a fan....finally what is the involvement of Melzack and Selman the property developers.

How can it be good in the long term if we still have no money for players? Even if we have a fully functioning L/S stand, and super duper training pitches, it wont make enough money to cover the losses let alone allow for team investment.

We need someone who is going to put MONEY into the club to allow us to progress on the pitch, and work on getting the business structure right alongside that.

All smoke and mirrors IMHO, nothing more, no hidden gems that will have us all gasping with delight.

Im all for finishing the Lorne Street Stand and Robbie Williams Suite, but whats the point spending money on that if you can't make full use of the Robbie Williams Suite?

They are moaning about hardly any meals being sold before the games so i don't expect the Suite to be packed out all the time and bringing the money in. Not sure how much the Lorne Street will cost to be finished but i have got used to it looking like that now for 10 years and i think i would much rather prefer this money to be used on the TEAM STRENGHTENING!!

After all we all want to see better players and chance of promotion out of this League, this is what will bring the fans back.

I speak to people now, and they think £8m investment is great and it will be used mainly on players etc... they have not got a clue at all..

This deal doesn't excite me one bit to be honest.

Yes I do see it as not ideal.

What is a long term investment strategy and for whom?

Two days later and no more information about the deal.

Let's hope that Dave F gives ML a grilling about it tomorrow nite.

I heard a rumour last night that Vale Park will not be completed as the site will be up for sale early in the spring.

Vale are moving to a new 8000 seater stadium on land near the Talke roundabout and the deal is all via the yanks and ex QPR top-brass.

Vale will become a 'feeder club' for QPR and the deal was actually struck over a month ago but has been 'round the houses' to avoid tax issues and such.
