This club is going to vanish in the not too distant future and some people (not you, I hasten to add) will have to ask themselves about the role they played in its demise.

 

I truly hope I am wrong, but the combination of an inept Board, apathetic fans, a successful Stoke and a weak economy has nearly killed the club I love.

You should listen to Stone Valiant my friend. He is the man in the know and he is the one who has the business acumen (so i believe) to know whether the deal is a good one for Port Vale. This on top of him being very anti anything the board does, surely must give you a feeling of doubt in your mind that you are wrong again?

 

What gives you the right to expect to see the fine detail of a multi million pound deal? Nobody forces you to support Port Vale, and just because you do, doesn't give you the right the jeopardise the deal.

How am i jeopardising the deal? I'm questioning it, yes, but why shouldn't I?

 

I don't expect to see the final detail, but we are a fan run club, surely in this new era of openness and transparency the board would relay the details of the investment. So far, they have just mentioned an investment of £400k and tied it in with a top line figure of £8m to make it look more appealing.

I think this is whats causing the most irritation to people at the moment.

We are told on one hand,its a done deal with a total of £8 million inclusive of everything, but, we are still in negotiations with a third party, who,clearly has something to do with the £8 million total,so really its still not a `deal` yet?

 

Thats my understanding of it anyway.

Big Mo was investing for the good people of Port Vale and not himself then?

 

Mo is no longer a part of this so I don't know what he has to do with it, but as you are so obsessed; He was local, he has Vale partners, he is experienced in his leisure field and the so called massive investment wouldn't have been some other franchised company that has nothing to do with the Vale.

 

If Bass came in and offered 5m of investment , bought 400k of shares and bought a fun pub hotel in Talke for 4.6m, how is that investing in Vale?

 

I am actually open minded and want to be swayed but the astro-pit-project isn't investing in Port Vale, it may well be a great venture but it is VP and the team that needs massive investment.
