All quiet on the Vale Park fron this morning. I was there from just after 8.30 for about three hours and neither the Chairman, Manager nor any of the players were in evidence. Rumour is that the manager is in Portugal.

 

Them speed awareness courses are long winded arent they.

They were saying on Saturday that the players were getting 3 days off

Smurf should of cancelled all xmas parties on Saturdays performance alone.

Rumoured on here, but don't know if there is any truth in it. Think then Plan B if not top 6 by Xmas has led to the view that there may be a performance clause

How dare you suggest people should have time with their families at Christmastime.I'd expect,on Christmas Day,all Vale fans to be watching the lads train instead of feeding their faces and getting as much down their neck as is possible.Get a life will you!!!

I feel sure there must be. Hence 'Plan B at Christmas' and the lack of action after Saturday, indeed not a sound, never mind action. There must be a 'Sorry, it's not working out' clause that can be activated at some stage, presumably Christmas.

I'm thinking that when Smurf issued the plan b statement he never actually thought he would have to implement it. I think he's been caught unawares here hence the delay in any kind of action.

Then again, maybe the Manager Formerly Known As the Special One said "Ill pay his wages till Christmas, and if he's no good you can get rid of him"? Might explain why he was appointed in the first place, with such a poor record.
