Been going the Vale since the infamous league cup winners season of 72'.........Dont recall us winning the first x4 home league games on the bounce in all that time!?...

What a great second half, first half was flat, and sloppy, smiths heading is absolutely awesome, praise to cecellia when he came on, he caused problems, but most of all I would like to ask where all the folks are who when we first signed jones said 'not another young lad'

Gillingham started off the better side,they seemed to by wanting to try and upset Vale with their physical game plan.But Vale kept battling on and later in the second half Gillingham seemed to be getting tired.This gave Vale more room and a better performance for Vale in the second half.Vale unlucky not to score 1st half when their keeper managed to clear a shot from the line with his foot.Second half more shots went straight at the keeper and two shots were cleared off the line in a short space of time.Vale still kept battling on and didn't give up.They got their reward with two goals and the all important three points.Well done and thank you Bruno and all the players.

It seems to be the plan with this passing game, the other team gets tired out running all over the place then we step up a gear and go for the jugular.

Amazing second half, best I've seen in a very long time! Defence is excellent those two centre backs both brilliant, knopps is also an extremely solid player at this level. Thought Thomas was outstanding all game as was grant and I actually thought cicila was great today. Changed the game and actually looked a very decent player. Jones is just brilliant in front of goal. It's early days but we have some cracking players, I think my bet of us reaching the play offs is looking very steady at the minute!

When Paterson went off we changed COMPLETELY.

 

Cecilia may never actually score a league gaol for us BUT he don't half create havoc with the opponents defenders!

 

Thomas 1st half was unplayable and they tried to take chunks out of him every time he had the ball. Second half I don't know how their goal remained intact, so many times we had clearances off the line, hit the post and their gaolie made three or four world class saves.

 

Yes, again we were slow coming out of the blocks but once we get going we look a very good side.
