Premiership 16/17 Season

Liverpool were outstanding yesterday. Completely battered Spurs in the first half and Mane alone could have scored 4 goals himself, and in the second half Liverpool showed excellent game management and didn't give them a sniff. Mane got the headlines and there were some really good performances by the likes of Lallana and Henderson, but for me Wijnaldum was man of the match.

Spurs have a good starting 11 and can beat anyone on their day, the same as Liverpool, but when you're bringing on Winks, Sissoko and Janssen as your substitutes to try and get you back in the game then you can see why they're not going to be winning the league.

Well for all the comments about Chelsea being a one man team, it seems it's Liverpool that can't cope without their star striker. He comes back and starts and they go back to their old form. Saturday should have been expected, Spurs haven't won away to anyone else in the top 6 for some time now and tend to choke when they play away to the big sides, and did at Anfield.

Arsenal finally got back to winning ways but were fortunate and had a big helping hand. The Sanchez goal in my opinion should not have stood although the fact you can't get complete agreement shows that the handball rule, like the offside rule, is too open to interpretation. Chelsea slipped up although Burnley are an excellent team at home. Very close between 2nd and 6th and I wouldn't like to choose the other three teams who could make the top 4 behind Chelsea.

I thought Burnley were terrific helped by a tremendous home support .

Hull played very well ,sanchezs goal should have not stood and Gibbs should have been sent off .

Swansea two goals were excellent they played very well Clement and Makelele doing a fab job there .

Sunderland and Palace poor again .

Southampton and Man utd very fluent and good .

Havent seen the Liverpool v Spurs game but it shows that u cannot play Can and Henderson in the same midfield as both to pedestrian .

Stoke well continue to play in spells and on another day the result could have gone the other way ,a good goal nice move ,plenty of empty seats ive noticed aswell but there bigger than Vale so thats there claim to fame.

West Broms first goal shouldnt have stood no wonder Bilic was hopping mad but like Vale if u switch off for one second u will be punished.

Having seen the levels of performance from Hull Swansea and Burnley i feel they will stay up.

Someone coasting in mid table will go down with Sunderland i feel Middlesboro and Watford .

Middlesboro cause dont score enough ,to rigid to a game plan need to open up and go for it ,Watford because out of every team ive seen this season they have put the worst individual performance in ive seen v Stoke at home.

Stoke will finish 8th and will take the money ,no ambition ,no local lads ,a midtable team nothing more .

Its going to be an exciting season, my tip to struggle will be Leicester. I think the CL will take its toll and they could end up with European hangovers like some of the smaller clubs do when they venture into European competitions.

Top five will be Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs, i think Liverpool will do ok and having seen Southampton signing quality players again if there new manager can get them firing they will challenge along with West Ham and Everton for a top 8 place.

Leicester could well go down this year 33/1 start of the season....

Not yet, looks as if Ranieri may not achieve the 40 points target. losing Kante, Mahrez wanting to move, poor service to Vardy, scouts to Arsenal, Spurs, and Everton as DOF does not help either.
Maybe Vardy`s goal in Seville tonight will wake them up?
