Think a lot need to calm down jeez its only the end of this season and already some of you are on suicide watch!! Players will come and go and i,m sure Norman has everything in hand and we will be a force once the season starts....just to prove the bookies wrong!!!

Do you have any information to back the above claim up?

Or are you just guessing with the aid of rose tinted spectacles

 

John is Smurf staying on,is he leaving,is the club still open for sale or not.Are we actually going to get a CEO that knows about the running of a professional football club.????????

the trouble is there's a lot of deluded people on here who seem to know we will get better replacements in. feel very sorry for who ever thinks this.

 

Exactly, if we're loosing current players to smaller clubs the case will be the same when it comes to bringing on replacements, we'll be left with the crap nobody else wants

Some good news. Let Shrewsbury pay for someone who disappears for three quarters of a season.

 

Second highest scorer this season and lots of them in important games, just counted we'd have been 14 points worse off without his goals, we'd have been relegated

 

Yeah we don't need him......

He's been a loyal servant to the club but fact is he's lucky to have played at the club for as long as he did as at times he was anonymous throughout every season. I do wish him the best though as he's always come across as a good bloke and never created any bother during all his years here.

It really is a crying shame that Vale fans are being divided, not only by their opinions of how we better ourselves or by someone who actually saved us from the scrap heap.

 

Does anyone HONESTLY believe Smurf is running the Club into oblivion? Where is there any sense in that? He has a small fortune invested in Port Vale and NOT ONE of us want ever to see administration again, do we?

 

Football Clubs have to cut their cloth in these days and Smurf is making a stand. He and all of us KNOW that we are not good enough with the present squad. There could be sense in offering derogatory contracts to most players as they are NOT good enough now and never will be. If we take the situation that we don't believe Smurf to be cracking up then surely what he's doing now just may be in all our interests in the long term.

 

I want to watch Vale to my last days and I will, health permitting. Yes we have been brainwashed in the past 30 odd years into accepting 2nd class teams and a tin pot stadium with poor facilities, but Smurf came in and did what he could without bankrupting himself. He is no saint, nor is he a good Football businessman but he is learning. Vale fans need to stand steady because without us the Vale have nowt. We support the Club, don't we, not individuals?

 

Come the summer opening game I sincerely hope there a massive amount of shamed, egg-on-faces individuals from OVF who will accept that we are still an improving Club with players and management that will take us forward.

 

STOP all this backbiting, name calling, pessimism please for the sake of Port Vale FC and it's fabulous fans.

Good luck to Louis Dodds, according to smurf he wasn't offered reduced terms, it was a option from last years contract to extend on the same deal.

 

If the new manager doesn't favour a forward off the striker then Louis would of spent the season on the wing or bench so it's not a big loss in my eyes. 3 weeks till the new manager is revealed ain't no biggie either. He'll surely know about it and be looking at players for next season.
