If we beat Crewe and Blackpool don't lose and or if Oldham win. Crewe will be relegated on Saturday ! After surviving on the last day of the season, 2 seasons running I think its about time they take their rightful place in league 2, hopefully at the hands of the vale.

However... I wont be betting on vale :nailbiting:

Remember Neil Baker's lap of honour a couple of seasons ago? He probably hadn't moved that fast since the time he got caught with someone else's Mrs at Leek.

If Crewe do go down on Saturday it would be funny if someone got right in his face and celebrated in the same way. I'm reminded for some reason of the goal celebration Luke Rodgers did when he ran to Dario's dugout a few years back.

I will be sad to see Crewe relegated because they are a club that is committed to youth development and also generally trying to play entertaining attacking football. I have seen many good games involving Crewe, but we have lost to them more often than we should have. I am also sad to see clubs from our commuter zone in lower leagues now - Stockport, Chester, Tranmere, Wrexham etc. It is obviously much better to be playing clubs like that than Stevenage, Crawley etc. I will continue to support Port Vale of course and hope to go to the forum on Tuesday, but if Tranmere reach the National League playoffs, as my second team and local team, I will be off to support them in the semi final. They built a new team which took a while to get going but has found more consistency in the second half of the season. An alternative promotion I don't want to see is a club like Forrest Green, not local, no league tradition, punching above weight with a current financial model, place in nowhere land.

There's a lot of outdated cliches in that post.
