HITC Sport seem like some kind of agency, possible drumming up interest in their client. However £500k with some kind of sell on would represent good business

 

Tbh at his age and having over 2yrs left on the contract i would expect us to hold out for more and then put a 20% sell on in there(like Newport did with Washington,they now getting nearly 1m out of that deal)

Washington a striker, Alnwick a keeper! Don't have the same values. He was only a free in the summer with no other offers. Washington has moved for money before and has more than 6 months success behind him

Alnwick has been our player of the season so far for me. One of the best keepers in the division. He has some faults but an outstanding signing for us overall. Neal is a good back up but Alnwick is keeping him out. If we sell him it better be what he's worth because he has a good future ahead.

If Alnwick wants to go and Vale can get a decent fee with a sell on clause than it suits both parties particularly with a high quality keeper in Chris Neal in the squad. We tend to forget how good Chris Neal is.

With smurf saying there are 4 interested parties buying the club, i don't think they would be happy in Smurf asset stripping before they intend to buy or if they buy it.

The more games he plays the more Vale will get for him. As for price, what did our current England keeper go for from Shrewsbury with addons and also a young keeper down the road at Stoke. If the player is good enough and has the potential, teams will have to pay top money. Especially the amount of money that will be around next year!!!!!
