I'm wondering what the next excuse will be from Vale "fans" for not attending, after today's pathetic attendance.

This was a reasonably-attractive fixture and we were on the back of 3 wins and a draw in the last 4.

What was today's excuse - too cold? Snow on the pitch? Too tired after watching the Maidenhead game on Thursday on TV?

If we manage to beat Exeter and pull Man United away we'll have no end of "fans" wanting a ticket.

Hi all,

I don't often post on here any more but I'd thought I'd just make it known how happy I am with today's result and the last week. We seem to have found a little bit of grit and consistency. I can't believe we pulled that out of the bag after playing Thursday, I thought it was a nailed on loss. Very happy with Page the lads and the support team this weekend... Very professional. Long may it continue.

Decent game in tricky conditions. Some good goals, well done Sam Kelly,Ajay ,aka goal machine ,and Doddsy.MOM for me was Ryan McGivern.

I felt Ant Grant just edged MOM, in front of McGivern who, with Duffy, was very solid at the back. Don't be petty by saying his header to their player led to a goal - you have a split-second to decide where to put the ball for the best, and a player running in often isn't seen until too late. Good all-round performance, and, even went it went to 3-2 I never felt we would drop points! Good value for the win, as we had more of the game than them, on a tricky surface. Didn't think too much of Morsy - glad Dan Jones had a stinker! UTV

What has happened to AJ? Scored 4 goals in 3 games. We knew it would come for him. Maybe he could be the goalscorer we need. Well done to Sam Kelly on getting his first senior goal in professional football and set up AJ's goal.

I wonder if Crewe are regretting letting Grant and AJ go now..... Grant looks like our best signing of the summer.

On wards and Upwards. Come on Vale :)!!

I have a season ticket but I was working, was meant to give it to a family member but forgot, I hope that is a good enough reason

Attendance well considering the weather which was horrible and cold was average but u can understand why folk didn't come I had two pairs of socks on and I was freezing .

We don't have the support unfortunately but two impressive home wins v Shrewsbury and Chesterfield and some cracking goals especially from dodds u would think we could attract more .

It's so important that Vale progress in the cup and beat a team they ain't meant to beat that's the key to new support unfortunately we have to many part time supporters like meself .
