Not too sure which football club this website is about. The club I support has lost one in the first 8 games (in the very last minute) kept 5 clean sheets, scored 4 goals more than conceded and drawn one and won one against two teams in the premiership last season. The club on this post have had an awful start to the season and I hope their season improves for their fans sake.

ok I couldn't go last night due to work. but I was listening on the radio, didn't sound great and tbh im really pleased weve played crap and still won....the signs of a team that is hard to break down and we haven't had that for donkeys......ray Williams said last night in years gone by we woulda lost that type of game 2-1 so thanks to the work on the defence its improving us all the time...yes the attack is toothless but its a game we have won...scratch it off...look forward to the round 2 draw and move on to the next game...quickly :)

Wow, I'm Vale through and through but I think I might start supporting your lot, only if they have a main striker who scores, say, 3 in 8 and is getting similar number from midfield, otherwise, I fear the worst for them.

Probably one of the worst wins I've ever witnessed, still won though so sign of a good team and that!

The entertainment for me though was sitting in Lorne St for a change and listening to the constant moaning from the owd boys behind me.

Purkiss played well and cleared at least one off the line. Dickinson also had a good game. I think the others thought we can beat this team in third gear, which we did! When we got into second gear, for five minutes, we showed our class. Uche makes me smile. Just a shame how Page always substitutes him and not Dodds or Birchall or looked shattered!!! Looks like he's lost some weight although he was in the chippy Friday night!!!

So does he think mcgivern is a better option than Innis? Does he think that Birchall and daniel are better than Moore?

 

Innis, Moore, Brown and Foley were unavailable. Mcgivern was probably our only remaining defensive option.

Thought mcCourt did OK, he was maybe trying too hard as another poster said but overall he was part of the team. The game last night wasn't quite at the same pace as a League 1 match though.

It's a cup competition and we are in the next round so job done and if Page and the players learn from the experience then all the better
