Matchday prices

I have massive experience in the processes of psychological pricing.

If I tell my hubby my new shoes cost £49.99 I can definitely get away with it. If I told him they were 50 quid he wouldn't be a happy bunny! :D

:ohmy::ohmy:

That's OK as long as you are getting 3 pairs of shoes for that price.

I must be a very strange Vale fan. I'm looking forward to the new season, to supporting my team. The joy at a win, and the disappointment when we loose. I enjoy the post weekend banter with colleagues at work - who like to brag how well the red & whites are doing. It hurts when they laugh at vale fans who seem to find any excuse not to go - it started with Bill Bell , nothing has changed since. Just think what a difference it would make if all vale supported the team, and just forget the board. Please just support our team.

Nothing strange at all, the normal feelings of fans everywhere. A lot of support was lost in the 70/80s and never returned, even when we were in what is now the championship. Many expected 10k gates minimum, including Bell, but it did not happen, maybe the unemployment I do not know. I hope that one day soon a new owner/board will take over and bring hope back to the club, in the meantime we all do what we think is right. I will miss Vale Park a great deal, but I think that is the quickest way of ridding us of the dictators.

How strange that there are a lack of comments on such an important issue as this from the likes of

Robbie H,Princey,Vale 9t9,Wayneamloo.

So much for the much repeated comment/claim that there will be loads of people walking up and paying £19.50 on the gate.

Come on boys dunna go all shy.

Why do the price increase on the sly?

If SEO isnt working what is the need for this sly increase?

What I can't understand is the 50p. Why not just £20 if they must put it up? That 50p is crackers. For every thousand walk ups that's only 500 quid a game. You only have to put 25 folk off attending because of that 50p and you've lost all of that. You know how shops always charge £9.99 instead of a tenner for psychological reasons - Vale seem to be doing exactly the opposite.

Has Stan bought a load of radio rentals TV's with the slot meters on the back ?

Define working.

We'll just start next season on a lower budget, and then the next season and the next season after that. Possibly the sale of Richard's in Jan if you want to believe it's biting close to the knuckle already.

By the time we go into admin we won't be an attractive opposition to any millionaire's with the intention of Championship football. Chaudry's renewed interest was in a club near the top of league 2, an ex-prem boss and decent by league 2/lower league 1 standards. I'm sure that was the attraction and would be the attraction to anyone else in this catergory.

If you think any parties interested in a club rotting in non-league with gates of 3,000 are going to be up to much you're very naive. Just remember, investment options will more then likely be as limited as the current regime if supporters allow this to happen.

At least 2 offers of investment (3 if the board are to believed) were turned away last season, by the board, not by the supporters, THE BOARD!

And you're saying supporters are allowing this to happen.

There are no words.

In fact there are - ****ing stupid!

The decision is with the Furtive Five, go now and save your skins.

I can understand those that will not give the board any of their money, as they refuse to help aid their stay.

I can also understand those that choose to see past that and carry on handing over their cash regardless.

What I don't see is the need for all this baiting by both sides. It's not the supporters fault that a good number feel the way they do. Debate is all well and good, but this childish bickering is tiresome.

We now have a stand off, one that I don't see changing unless changes at the top are to happen. If you want the club back, then just 3 people stand in the way. Think about it.

If 10 or 15 teams in our division can survive on gates of around 3000 then so can we can't we?

We don't even have a massive playing budget!

The problem we do have is the people in charge cannot run a football club and whether we are getting 3000 or 7000 we will be losing money, reducing budgets and being sold down the river year upon year by the current idiots and that's where people have recognized this and have had enough.

And be under no illusion, they have had ample opportunity to pass on the club for the better. They won't, of course, because of there own interests and not giving a stuff about the supporters.

If we go into administration it will be the fault of the incompetent idiots running the club and not the supporters who have been loyal for many years but will not keep on being lied to and sold down the river.

I feel no shame that I'm robbing the club of my hard earned cash.

I feel much shame that the people in charge are robbing me of a football club to be proud of and one that can compete in a division or 2 higher which I feel is where we rightfully belong.

I don't see any positive gain from the increase.

Mr Deakin needs reminding of the dross we endured by what is effectively

"the same set of players" from December onwards last season.

I can only see a slow and painfull end to this stand-off, the likely oucome:-

A few board members continue to 'line their pockets short-term' whilst around 5,000 fans suffer long-term.

Hang your heads in shame those who voted pro-board on June 1st, you had ONE opportunity to at least return some form of positivity to a club in terminal decline from a Football perspective as well as Business perspective.

I still don't understand? it hurts

Perhaps Mickey (the Blades lifelong fan) will stick-it-out and save us?

Programmes at £3! YOu are having a laugh....
