What I can't understand is the 50p. Why not just £20 if they must put it up? That 50p is crackers. For every thousand walk ups that's only 500 quid a game. You only have to put 25 folk off attending because of that 50p and you've lost all of that. You know how shops always charge £9.99 instead of a tenner for psychological reasons - Vale seem to be doing exactly the opposite.

You see something for 29.99 and although obviously it's only one pence short of thirty quid it does indeed register as being much less expensive. I read somewhere that it's because our minds register the first number i.e. 29.99 would register and being in the twentys rather than nearer thirty... confused.com :D

That's exactly right Caz and Jean.The business I used to be in always used to boast that the price of their product never increased.It was left to the individual if he wanted to invest in more of the product.Forcing or expecting people to pay more for the same product is never correct IMO.
