i aint paying a penny down vale...away games r the future

Whilst respecting your decision not to attend games at VP, and watching away games only, don't you realise that not only are you (and many more i suppose) depriving Vale of much needed dosh, you are also going to be giving every other club in the league a financial foot-up over the Vale! (with the increased followings we will be taking everywhere.)

As i've stated before, I am in no way a fan of this board, but the actions of the SEO campaign will end up not removing the board, but Killing the club whilst financially boosting every other club in the division. :(

It's the board who are resiliant in letting the club plummet into 'failure' (even admin wouldn't be the end of the club, just a different direction to a future).

The majority of fans want the board to resign. The majority of the board have resigned. You have at least two sound investors waiting in the background.

Forget SEO and buying season tickets for the moment. What about the locals around Burslem who might want to go the odd game? How are we going to get them into VP charging over £20? The amount of non-Vale fans I speak to who question why we charge any more than a tenner is unreal. To ask people to pay double that means we limit our fan base to the loyal, the rich and the stupid......and there aint many rich folk around the city. At a time when the board should be trying to bring in more fans to replace those not attending due to SEO, they have instead limited the amount of on the gate fans they will get with a price increase. It might only be 'one more quid' but to not give someone change from a 20 quid note to get in VP will put a lot of people off. Creeping over the £20 barrier was a bad move.

A very good post, although the non-Vale fans you speak too don't appriciate just how exspensive supporting a footy club is! £16 walk up price would be good, £18 reasonable, anything above too exspensive for this level. Having said that you could watch the Vale for £10.35/game with a ST. ;)

Can't imagine why this crafty low key increase didn't warrant a news item on the official site. Strange that. :shifty::rolleyes:

So SEO cannot be working, right?

Maybe it'll raise a further £1,000/wk. Will help towards utilities and general running expenses I would imagine.

Not salaries mind. But maybe ST sales will help to cover those for a few months.

so by going only to away games its now better value than watching vale at home !!!!! ok theres petrol etc but take the missus and tell her its a family day out.i did this once took her to cheshire oaks on the same day vale were playing tranmere, you can guess the rest !!

Did you 'do' lunch with her and treat her to a bit of shopping afterwards, and have an overnight stay somewhere nice? If so, I bet you had a great time!

And I bet you enjoyed the football :)
