We do another striker. Probably be a Championship/Premier League youngster that we can have a good look at for when Uche goes back to Watford as if he does well for us they will either recall him or will get a bid to buy him.

 

They wont recall him.. They have about 10 strikers on the books this seaon.

if we are sending campion out on loan I would hope it will be a striker if uche gets injured we are buggered

AJ isn't a winger, he's a striker.

Foley is a centre mid.

Lloyd isn't good enough.

Andoh is a winger to me, but Page seems to think he's a striker or a No10.

 

What I mean is that we need a proper winger with pace and trickery, not someone that can just 'do a job' on the wing.

 

Moore and kelly are wingers, as is daniel and andoh. Thats 4 out and out wingers to start with, which is moore than enough.

Added to that, Dodds has played there more than anywhere else in his career by a huge amount. Birchall plays on the wing too. Foley has played a big part of his career as a winger, and AJ played most of last season there so can adequately cover. THen there is lloyd.

Four out and out wingers, and four players that often play there and will be adequate cover, and one player who is probably not good enough but was offered a contract so must be rated by the manager. Im baffled as to why people think we need any more wingers? If anything, we are overstacked in the middle row. Especially when we only have one out and out striker as campion doesnt seem to be in pages plans.

It would surely have to be a striker.

The other positions are all covered.

 

However, anyone coming in would probably want to play games and not sit on the bench and therein lies the problem, especially with loan players.

Plans for Campion are long term. He is not physically capable of playing first team football regularly yet so a loan to non-league where he will get plenty of games is what is required. The same may be true of Lloyd, although I wish those who think he is not good enough would explain why they think so.

I asked him on Twitter if the signing would be before and Crewe and he answered yes.

He's also said it's a permanent signing, not a loan, and it will go straight in to the first XI.

I wouldn't read too much into though it's notoriously full of **** on said website!

Surely it's got to be a striker. I know Norman has said it's permanent and he will go straight into the team! Sounds good to me!

If he is a 20 goal a season striker I can smell promotion from here as our two beasts in defence will ensure that we keep clean sheets!
